PRWrestling.com out of Puerto Rico reports that Carlito had a meeting with Vince on Monday night which led to Carlito signing a new contract. Maybe that's where being in a match with Jeff Hardy and going on the Iraq trip have come from, he sure wouldn't have done those if he was leaving.

I'm glad to hear he's staying he's a good talent and an actual mid carder, ya know though if he went to ecw he would be a believable main eventer!

I wouldn't mind if he left, but I just don't get why they haven't tried a gimmick change for him yet. I'd go with WWC-style Puerto Rican hardcore thug. Maybe go back to his roots a little and go by "Cool" Carly Colon.

This is the most stinky poop news I've ever heard or read in my entire lifetime.

Unless he's just honoring his contract and being respectful not to burn bridges.

I'm pretty happy about this, as I've always thought that Carlito had major potential.
Hopefully they give him the Intercontinental title on Monday and then actually do something with him. I wouldn't count on that, though.

If it's true, good for him I guess, not that I watch his matches anyways.

I'm happy.
After my boy Chris Masters left, Carlito was one of the remaining guys I have left.
Woot!

Yes!! I am glad he is staying. And I wouldnt mind if he deafeated hardy for the ic title. I like Jeff and all but I think its time he stoped being the ic champ and move on

Yeah, this is good to hear. Carlito has his postives and negatives. He's at least a decent midcarder and the crowd still reacts to him. I would much rather see him being used than someone like Snitsky.

I like Jeff and all but I think its time he stoped being the ic champ and move on Yeah, Jeff is at a point where his IC title isn't really a focus on his character. Maybe if Carlito wins it, we can see some fresh feuds for the belt. I haven't always been crazy about Carlito and his inconsistent performances, but I hope he's happy now and the company is satisfied that he'll be putting in the effort that makes them want to show some confidence in him.

Guess we can cross-off Joe/Carlito off the list of realistic Dream Matches.

Very good news. I wasn't much of fan when he first debuted a few years ago but he really came into his own I think. I might be the only one but I kinda enjoy his little program with Hornswoggle right now. I'm a mark for Looney Tune gags.

He looked like one of the brightest prospects of the last five years in terms of exhibiting personality. He seemed like a natural performer in terms of acting and selling. His in ring work is good too. I think the poor WWE creative has not come up with any good storylines for him. His alliance with Torrie did not utilize his talents. Since his heel turn, WWE creative have not really used him in any substantial storylines that utilize his strengths. It's like WWE creative gave up on him, his career stalled, and he lost passion.
