What I'm interested in reading about is when it was known (if it known at all) to the Meltzer types. It would be surprising to know if Vince on a whim decided to just bring him back at the last minute.

Combing through some old Wrestling Observer's got me wondering about the Ultimate Warrior's return to the WWF at Wrestlemania VIII. How long was it known for that he was coming back?
Given how the booking of the show seemed to take place in the span of a month (the change from a Hogan/Flair main event to Hogan/Justice and Flair/Savage), he conceivably could've been brought back as a mystery opponent for Jake Roberts (which the fans should've easily surmised the opponent's identity), likely increasing the buyrate for the show.
I've yet to read anything from back then that hinted at his return, making me wonder if it wasn't a last minute decision to bring him back into the fold.
Anyone read otherwise?

"My name is Snake. And I don't like Speech. I never even signed up for it anyway. And I don't have any hobbies. Not unless you call collecting knives and putting tattoos across the foreheads of guys I don't like hobbies.
And I have a 1.1 GPA.

If I'm Ric Flair, I'm absolutely livid right now. And justifiably so.

I have a problem with that entire ad campaign. Not just one commercial in particular, but rather the entire message that the campaign is sending. Yes, nothing makes me want to purchase your beer quite like being harassed into it by some bitch of a bartender. It's almost like the campaign was created by Budweiser as a way to take down it's competition. "Miller Lite: The Official Beer of Bitches." How is that a good campaign for Miller Lite? Did one of the marketing gurus at Miller go out to a bar one night, only to be verbally assaulted by a bartender until they purchased the drink they were recommending, then proceed to think, "Yeah, that's how we'll sell our drink to the general public!" Imagine if Ford tried to make this commercial for one of their trucks. "Well, you could go with the Toyota Tacoma, or you could stop being such a pussy and buy an F-150." Not only that, but it's virtually challenging your manhood if you are not drinking Bud Light. The female bartender and your friends will rag on you for drinking another brand of beer. I said it once, I'll say it again: Bud Light creates some of the worst commercial in recent TV memory. Except the commercial is for Miller Lite...

I couldn't agree more with you regarding Bobby Heenan. He came off as an ass-kissing douche in his interview segment. Just a sad and petty production overall with this disc.

KG made the playoffs 8 straight years in Minnesota and had 8 straight years of at least .500 teams. Garnett's contract(s) made it nearly impossible to bring in additional help (save for the 03-04 season when Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell were brought into the fold).
As !?ONAHSAAH?! Convoy mentioned above, Kevin Love likes it in Minnesota and perhaps he'd like to be able to do what the other Kevin couldn't do and bring a NBA title to the Timberwolves in the future.

I'd say so.
Keep in mind, he did get eliminated but slipped back in while the referees were distracted. Bret Hart and maybe the Undertaker were the only two other potential winners the WWF could've went with at the time.

Wasn't Dan Schneider rumoured to have laid down a number of not quite street legal Teen Nick starlets by the fireplace?
