Spirit of the intent...
Like when Sheamus deliberately hurt Big Show by throwing Ricardo into his groin? That's kind of a logical miscue, WWE.

At the end of the day, he's basically saying Sting isn't good enough for his Hall of Fame and that's bullshit any way you look at it. The man was the heart and soul of WCW and was the only person in that company people gave a shit about after Flair bolted. He was a star player in arguably the hottest angle in history as one of the most interesting characters in history. He wrestled in the first and last episode of Nitro with Ric Flair, a man he shared one of wrestling's greatest, if not THE greatest, rivalries with. 20 years in the business, spanning 2 companies he's meant a great deal to, several great matches and storylines as one of the most beloved faces ever and he's not Hall of Fame material?
For somebody covering the business as long as Dave has to say what he said with a straight face is shameful.

So he's punishing Sting for the era he wrestled in and who also happened to be in the company and for not being a workrate machine? That's...bulls***. Way to completely trivialize the man's career and make it basically mean nothing, Dave.

So the only thing that gets you in the Observer Hall of Fame is drawing power? That's kinda shallow.

Why haven't Commercials been arrested yet!? They've got to be the most prolific serial killer in history!

Just putting this out there, but is there anything that could realistically be done to stop this? Like, you can put up metal detectors and stuff, but if someone's determined to do something like this is that really going to stop them? And about the "mental health" argument, what can you feasibly do to make sure that it doesn't get to that point? I'm not saying that nothing should be done, since obviously something isn't working but I just don't know what they could do. This is where we defer to people in various fields (doctors/politicians/researchers) to do something, because we don't really know what we can do.

He killed himself hell awaits this guy an he will pay for his crimes. I'm sorry, but I'm really uncomfortable with comments like this. I certainly won't defend the guy, nobody should. There isn't any justifying what happened, full stop, end of story. But passing judgment regarding things like eternal damnation, I don't know; to me, it feels like an easy way to sidestep the most likely very real mental health issues involved. Caring about one's mental state goes out the window when people start seeing dead kids. Once you cross that line, nobody cares about what you went through. All they care about are the young lives lost.

Did the police officer just say that they have not identify the shooter yet? Why would the media release a name? The media don't have to follow the guidelines that law officials do.

I dont know how a police officer can walk into that building and witness the crime scene... I'd be dead inside, I wouldnt be able to cope. How do you train for that? You don't, which is exactly why they have officers undergo some type of therapy which is usually mandatory in some cases.

I will say this, the first comedian that posts a joke about today's events has balls of steel. I firmly believe that comedy is the best way to get over tragedy and trying to write jokes about what happened has been very helpful for me today. Gallows humor is fine with people who understand your humor, but for a mainstream comedian to make jokes THIS early is pretty f***ed up. Keep it in the small circles, not on stage. Somebody needs to lock Daniel Tosh in a dark room for about 2 months.

So it's getting out that a Ryan Lanza (probably not the same one) liked Mass Effect on Facebook. So all the moral crusader morons on Facebook are flooding their page with yelling about boycotting and banning the game. Yeah, because liking Mass Effect really makes a guy wanna kill his parents and a bunch of kids... Think, people.

At the very least, there needs to be serious talk about putting metal detectors in ALL schools in the country.

Whoever tripped the loud speaker saved God alone knows how many lives. That was the first signal people got that something was wrong.

"In the A" and "Lines" are pretty damn awesome tracks, I must say. I really hope we get a new OutKast album soon. The world has been waiting long enough!
