I been downloading Raw full no commercials an notice live i cant watch it because of the constant commercial interruptions. Downloaded or even the cut Hulu version its enjoyable i get a straight show from beginning to end.
2 hour Raws had 30-45 minutes of commercials. 3 hour Raws have 40- 50 minutes of commercials.
2 hours Raws became 1:25 a bit more. 3 hour Raws become 2:10 more or less.
Yes i know the content plays a large part on the ratings but how can you invest in a show . When your taken out every few minutes by Arbys commercials , Movie trailers, some store sales.

But that's the medium of television. Raw is a live television show.

Commercials are the reason you have Nielsen ratings.

I wonder if they'll do another commerical-free RAW at any point. I can't see it happening with it being 3 hours now, but the last time they did I remember it being a really good episode.

Commercials are the reason you have Nielsen ratings. I've got my thinking cap on... Is there a Head Commercial that I can stab until dead to stop Nielsen Ratings then? If so, PM me his/her/it's message, it'll make the forum more enjoyable for all.

Maybe not truly commercial free, but replace the ads with PPV ads, promos for SmackDown, Main Event, and Saturday Morning Slam, or vignettes for returning or debuting Superstars.

Why haven't Commercials been arrested yet!? They've got to be the most prolific serial killer in history!

But that's the medium of television. Raw is a live television show. Some commercials are fine but it's the number of them that's the issue, like the OP says there's upto 50 minutes and then you have recaps and other dead time on top of that. You only have less than two out of three hours that's actual content and there's a good chance much of that won't appeal to you. I know there's different standards in America but over here Sky can't even show commercials for the entirety of the breaks as it would be in breach of advertising laws (only so many adverts per hour), they just show the RAW logo for a while until the show comes back.

That's simply the nature of the business. You don't get commercials in the middle of either half of a football (soccer) game, which is live.

Commercials have nothing on stagnant booking as the real Raw killer.

I hate commercials, which is why I record shows so I can fast-forward them. The same goes for any shows, f*** commercials... I don't pay for Sky to get bomblasted with 5 minutes of commercials for every 10 minutes of television. Record it, zap through them and I do my best to avoid using any shops, services or goods that advertise regularly on television

As a non-US viewer sometimes watching an American feed, it's exhausting to deal with the amount of ads they throw at you.

Does USA decide when to show this commercials or is this WWE choice ? Im sure ether choice they have to devote a certain amount of time for them. It can work a variety of different ways but I'm guessing it works something like the way the NFL does it. In the NFL, there are 20 commercial breaks. 10 per half that must be taken (including end of quarter and 2:00 warning) and this is done at the referee's discretion. So I'm guessing USA tells WWE that they need to take X amount of breaks and WWE then decides when to place them.

I'd rather they do away with all commercials and work the product placement into the show itself, that's usually funny.

As a non-US viewer sometimes watching an American feed, it's exhausting to deal with the amount of ads they throw at you. I know exactly what you mean. For a handful of reasons I watch an American stream of the show and goddamn the amount of ads is crazy in comparison to the amount of ads in England. At one point I started to get angry at the sheer amount of ads to the point I wanted to shout at my monitor. It did make me grow fond of the Geico gecko though...........
