Having the Undertaker induct the one inductee that’s passed away is a morbid choice. Lia Maivia is also dead.

I despise a lot of the stuff Heyman has done but this speech is one for the ages.

They didn’t even attempt to censor when he said “f***ing” in his bit to his kids. Why try now?

Monsoon roasting Ventura during Beefcake's entrance is a classic, though. Gorilla eviscerates him with that one. Jesse is so owned and he knows it, to the point he doesn’t even attempt a response. He just goes quiet for a couple of seconds and says something like “and here comes Brutus the Barber”. One of the rare times Ventura is silenced.

Someone should have told Vince that it was a Backlot Brawl, not a “Backlot Broar”. Speaking of that “match” there’s a punch during it that I swear was 100% legit, Piper absolutely cracks him one with it.
HHH would at least have a big Wrestlemania win in the very same arena four years later. (Which was a very surprising finish to me as I put The Rock winning at WM16 on a level of obviousness as HBK at 12).
The problem I have with this period of Manias (11-16) is that there’s no real spectacle to it. I know business was in the shitter so stadium shows were out of the question unless they gave away a f*** load of freebies (97 Rumble for example) but you can still put it in smaller arenas and make it seem special. Even though went overboard with the number of celebs at 11 (although admittedly Pamela Anderson was at that time one of the most famous people on the planet) they reigned it in the next couple of years. The issue with that is having celebrities at Mania has always been part of the feel of it and although I’m sure there were some, I can’t recall any celebs at 12 and 13 (and 12 was supposed to have a Hollywood feel to it).

If this was an intentional attack it would've been at a much busier time than "1:30 am on a bridge that's currently limiting traffic due to construction with warning given out beforehand to avoid even more casualties." People's brains are rotted. It's also not an issue with the condition of the bridge before being hit. It wasn't designed to have one of its supports slammed into by a few hundred thousand tons. It’s like how some wank on about 9/11 and the various “inconsistencies” in the way the towers fell. Give me another example of when something that size, with that amount of weight behind it and the amount of fuel on board was smashed into a massive building at speeds of hindered of miles an hour. What happened to the building in that case? You can’t say because it never f***ing happened before.

Regal was on the mic during some show in Florida not long after the 2000 election. He was winding the crowd up about the issue with Florida’s vote. JR said something like “what would he know about elections?”. He’s from the UK JR. They’ve been having elections for three centuries.

It might be more appropriate to change the name of the thread to "Bridge collapse in Baltimore" or something similar. Mass casualty incident makes it sound like a shooting or bomb happened. Or that way more people died. That’s the exact wording they used at the time it was reported.

So with the search suspended there are six people presumed dead. It should go without saying that whilst this is a tragic event, given the magnitude of the collapse, the fact that only six people might have died is miraculous. Even when you factor in the details of it being one of the quietest periods for traffic, then it’s still amazing that the numbers aren’t much higher.
