Meltzer seemed skeptical on the Observer board fwiw, said he was hearing they were talking about nixing the match two days before Barrett got hurt.

That was a hell of a fight, I thought Sarah cut a hell of a post-fight promo too.

Not sure Saling is gonna get another shot. Stories coming out about one of his tattoos being nazi inspired, and he's a registered high risk sex offender. I'm guessing they probably didn't do much background checking with him being a very short notice guy, doubt Zuffa wants the publicity of having a fringe guy like that under contract.

Should be a good fight. No clue who Misaki is, but I hope he destroys Daley Kinda mad at myself for not going to the weigh ins yesterday He was a pretty big deal in PRIDE and Pancrase back in the day, better days are behind him I'd say though- getting up there in years. Won the 2006 PRIDE Welterweight Grand Prix (asterisk there since he got eliminated in the Semis, but Filho hurt his knee and he got named his replacement in the finals).

Torch is at fault on this one for turning WWE having interest, but them being under contract into them being blocked from signing.

With Edgar I worry that moving down could actually take away one of his biggest edges. There's gonna be a lot more fast guys at 145, so the big speed advantage he has over most of the division might not be there. He still looked strong enough and everything when he got in close with Hendo, and got some takedowns.
That being said, if he can take less damage at 145 it would be worth it. Some of these fights he's been in are the types that can take time off your career. As for the fight, the right guy won. Edgar sounded a bit ridiculous talking about how he won after getting beat up the way he did. The reporters who kept pestering him about moving down were worse though. The guy just lost the title in a good fight, and you're asking him if he's moving down, if he's gameplanned for how he matches up to Aldo, etc? Like he's going to have any answers to that.

I was surprised by 30-27 on all cards, but Shields won the fight imo. I had it 29-28, so the right guy took it. His strikes were pitter patter, but Akiyama didn't do crap. Neither of his trips/takedowns lead to anything.

Didn't they say it was a No DQ tag? Or am I imagining that?

Sheamus and Bryan. It has nothing to do with the guys in it, but this just seems to me like a match that will get the shaft time wise, after they realize the show they have laid out is going to run long and start shaving time off stuff.

I'll say this much, putting whether I agree with the choice aside ... holy crap was that spoiler report right saying the crowd popped huge for Santino's win. They were ridiculously behind him near the end of the match.

also... What happened to Andy Leavine who won tough enough? Do they have to wait a year or something before they can compete to train? Andy has been splitting his time between a wellness suspension, and being absolutely terrible down in FCW. The guy's not close to ready for TV.

Cameron's a British dude, he's been around for quite a while now- was in that ascension stable. He worked a recent House Show loop. Cassady's been on the roster a bit too, just not really used, I don't know much of anything about him ... he's tall if I remember right.
