Road Block's theme. Not because the theme itself is bad because it's awesome in that cheesy puro entrance theme way but because it was completely wasted by being used for friggin' ROAD BLOCK. For an actual BAD theme, Macho Man's "What Up Mach?" theme was pretty terrible. Especially because the rock version of Pomp and Circumstance was so awesome. Holy crap thats a great theme.

Add me to the list of those who called, ran up a huge bill, and was blasted for it. I never really snagged any info from it, other than I shouldve just called a porn number.

He should only be associated with Lesnar. If Heyman represents someone else, it makes it less special for Lesnar to have Heyman. This. I see Heyman as a way of keeping Brock in everyones memory on dates he doesnt work. I seriously doubt he, Heyman, manages a stable....though id like to be wrong. That said, the three things that have to I want to see happen during Heymans current run: 1. Paul Heyman is not a CM Punk guy. Im a Punk fan, and im a Heyman fan, and theyre fans of each other...but at some point Punk is going to lose the title. Probably to Lesnar. The pain would be eased a bit if there was a Heyman swerve involved. Id have some Punk/Heyman interaction, wherein they come off all buddy buddy, maybe a bit of Heyman giving pep talks to both guys prior to their match... then a big ol fat swerve to cost Punk the title and a worked shoot against Punk the next night on RAW. I cant imagine a these two throwin pipe bombs as anything but 5 stars. 2. HHHeyman shhhoots from thhhe hhhip. I imagine this coming RAW will see HHH respond to Heymans words from this past Monday, then the following week we'll get a solo Heyman rant. What I want, and I think Hunter knows itd be good business, is a face to face non scripted shoot between the two. Obviously it wont cost Hunter anything, and Paul E is only a hired gun (plus I imagine they know who they have at this point), so why not take 20 minutes out of the show with two guys who can handle themselves and make history? I mean, they probably already dont like each other ...but I imagine theres a bit of respect on both sides and the two obviously care about the business, they have to know theyre sitting on a goldmine. 3. Dean Ambrose is EXTREME...ly crazy. And this is the fanboy in me. It doesnt have to be much, something like Ambrose "calmly" talking about how hed have loved to have been in ECW to compete with guys like Eddie, Benoit, and Malenko in WRESTLING matches.... the undertoned theme being Paul is partially responsible for the #LostGeneration.... while Paul has that deer in the headlights look. Dean just kinda pats him on the back and thanks him for his time as he walks away, and Paul says Dean is a lunatic to some backstage hand. Anyway, to answer OPs question, it would have to be a big guy without much going on/coming back to the company (Tensai, Mason Ryan ,Steiner etc), a young veteran completely lost in the shuffle (Drew, Dibiase, etc), a rising star that needs a change (Dolph, Swagger, Cody, etc) and a new-to-the-company type (Samoa Joe, Ambrose, etc). Paul E usually gets the most out of guys and if they were to make a stable with him it would be ideal to build new stars.

Saw it today with my crew, Fantastic movie, we thought we would be smart and to on Sunday, mother ****er was stacked. Holding seats for 6 people was death. Awesome movie though and has convinced me too pick up Hawkeye in UMvc3. He was my favorite guy in the film, him and Cap. Was much shorter than I thought it would be, but that just left me wanting more. Glad to see other folks on the Hawkeye wagon. I went in thinking he would be background noise and that Hulk would be a big dumb lug, thankfully I was incorrect.

Before Avengers I was clammoring for a JLA flick because, like a lot of people, I grew up with Superfriends (not literally) and kind of have a soft spot for those DC heroes.
After seeing Avengers, I dont know that I ever want a JLA film. Surely not in the next decade at least. I just cannot imagine theyd get it done as well.
Ive never been a big fan of Superman but I am intrigued to see Snyders take, if that flops I suspect DC to re-re-re-release a new 52 and/or blow up everything.

My first WWF (at the time) event was a house show after Royal Rumble but prior to no Way Out (of Texas).
HBK was advertised in the main event, but replaced by Savio Vega.
- Steve Austin, Mankind, Owen Hart & Chainsaw Charlie beat HHH, The New Age Outlaws, & Savio Vega. It was pretty disappointing at the time buuuuuuuuut whatever.

because you hate campiness & humor in films? Oh yes, that's why. Lets make a movie based on a book that features a character who's parents were coldly murdered in front of him as a child who then grows up into a man who's determined on stopping severely psychotic criminals who enjoy killing people and lets put some campiness and humor into it. I don't know where your opinion on Batman comes from but over the edge humor and comedy that you got in the tv series and later 90s films do not belong with Batman. Leave that to Spiderman movies and other wise cracking characters. Don't even get me started on the notion that the Batman movies need to incorportate that stuff to be a "Batman" movie. Spiderman was molested as a child (and his parents were agents of SHIELD who were sabotaged/murdered, AAAAND his uncle was gunned down in front of him...possibly BECAUSE OF him) but hey he can still have fun. Plus he isnt wealthy, which I can only assume would help ones menatl state. But hey, I understand a desire for a *straight* superhero flick. Watchmen is still my fave, and I loved the Bat flicks, id put Avengers just below Watchmen though.

So, I'm back from seeing it and.... Yeah, f*** you, Dark Knight Rises, Avengers wins. Yeah, no way I see this happening. Dark Knight Rises looks incredible. I loved both recent Batman flicks. Loved them. I was extremely hyped to see them, and enjoyed the hell out of them when I did see them. The thing is, ive had zero reason or desire to watch either of them since. Im not at all saying they arent rewatchable, or that ill never rewatch them...just that I havent and dont plan to anytime soon. I could pick apart every little flaw, and there are plenty, or say that their pacing was boring or whatever... but I wont. No, I liked the Batman flicks but I got everything I needed out of them the first time around and they werent "fun" enough to warrant a repeated viewing. Yet. Avengers was fun. Yes, it has its flaws... and I certainly see your previous foot soldier comparison... but what flick doesnt? Lets not forget Batman beating droves of masked goons in his movies. Also I see your point about a superior villainous threat being needed, but Loki has been presented exactly as Loki should have been presented...and that presentation has been executed by the actor at a level far superior to what anyone couldve hoped it to be. At his core Loki is more Watchmens Adrian Veidt than Batmans Joker, and thats not a bad thing. All in all The Avengers is a fun comic book movie that doesnt take itself too seriously (Bales Batman) but isnt outlandishly cartoony (Clooneys Batman). Fans of the individual heroes surely cant walk away disappointed, while some have been given new life (Hulk) and purpose (Hawkeye). While I certainly understand why too cartoony is a bad thing ive never undertood why anyone could think added realistic violence can help a superhero film.... Punisher (esp War Zone)was awful and that is the one franchise thats been released wherein the violence SHOULD be added.

Yeah, Hawkeye was pretty damn pathetic. Every time he did his opening bow snap thing I just snickered. So I wasn't the only one. Hawkeye needs a mask - even if it's just a domino mask - in order to fit in better. He looks like he's just some dude with a bow and arrows. May as well just recruit John Rambo, which would be badass, but he'll be in The Expendables 2. As will Thor ('s brother)...

Loved the movie - totally exceeded my expectations. Some notes: - Mark Ruffalo might be my favorite Bruce Banner. Script and actor nailed it. - I still think Loki was too understated in portrayal. Come on, I want to see some ham. I want Cosmic God Joker/Frank Gorshin - That said, I love how every member has a meaningful, substantial interaction with Loki (most 1-on-1 with him) - Similarly, every member is significant to the plot, and nearly everyone plays a meaningful part in the climax. - Hawkeye's superpower is to draw aggro in order to be relevant and useful, if artificially {Spoiler}Still, you can't tell me Hawkeye nonchalantly shooting an arrow at a passing Chitauri without looking at it and scoring a bullseye kill wasn't badass. {Spoiler} Thats another thing they did well. I went in assuming that Hawkeye would be fodder but in the end I was pleased to be wrong. A solo title would surely fail but as a supporting member to any Earth based piece he will work. Especially a Cap flick exploring his relationship with Widow.

Good movie but {Spoiler}I thought the guy in the post credit scene was Red Skull {Spoiler} I dont think you're alone in not (initially at least) knowing who that was. Thanos, while very much at the forefront for many fans, has never been all that relevant to the mainstream audience. Hes kind of like Big Van Vader in that to the target audience he was a feared villain but to the casual fan hed pass the eyeball test though most would be pressed to correctly name him. Much like DCs Darkseid. Im thinking Thor will be the next to snag a solo title, in which I assume theyll explore Thanos further.

Speaking of The Hulk.... OH MY FREAKIN GOODNESS, HOW PERFECT WAS THAT!? I must admit that im a Hulk mark so maybe im a bit biased but to me Avengers absolutely got him over. Big time. When I saw that Mark Ruffalo was cast in the Banner/Hulk role I kind of figured he would be stuck in the shadows of the other, bigger name, actors. Gladly I was wrong and imo this is the best adaptation of the big green beast ever filmed, and the same can be said for Banner. {Spoiler}No, it's not your bias. This movie made Hulk my favorite Avenger.
- Ruffalo walking to the giant worm casually saying "That's my secret, I'm always angry" was just badass.
- Captain America's instruction to him, followed by him smiling, made my theater applaud.
- Him casually punching Thor after they crash the worm into the museum was awesome.
- His fight with Loki was the highlight of the movie for me. Loki's there yelling down at him, then Hulk does Rock's ground throw from Soul Edge on him. I laughed so hard it gave me a headache. {Spoiler} Hulk....smash, the punch to Thor, and the Loki beatdown were also the highlights and biggest pops from my group. I hesitate to share this but during his interaction with Black Widow, when he slammed the table, I kind of jumped a bit. He was so damn calmly violent (if that makes sense), it was absolutely perfect. I enjoyed Ruffalos work in Zodiac and Shutter Island so I had no doubt he was a solid actor but I came away impressed at how "right" he was for the part when up until I saw it I was convinced it would fail.

A few random notes vaguely attempting to avoid spoilers, and make it wrestling related just for giggles:
This was probably my favorite movie-going experience. The crowd was Chicago-smarky, as opposed to dead or Philadelphia-smarky, which made all the difference. Going in I expected something of an old school Survivor Series feel where one side would have Cena (Iron Man) and despite any of the other faces actions he would get all the glory in the end. Despite the fact that, in a way, I was right ... it came off perfectly. The heroes shared the spotlight and each had a chance to get over, which I think they did. In fact in my opinion each of them came off better in this flick than they did in their individual films. Especially Captain America ,who if it werent for The Hulk wouldve had the best transition in the franchise. To me this was like when Punk cut "that promo", I could only think "Finally". It wasnt perfect (the transformation was a bit rushed and there wasnt much of an explanation as to how he flips the switch) but im thinking all of the dots will be connected in upcoming films. Probably not a stand alone film, more likely a large role in the next Iron Man title. Anyway, possibly the best thing they did with the flick was to not completely go over the "new" audiences head. My fiancee, who until the recent flicks had zero idea about any of these things, LOVED the movie and has been picking my brain for more info since the moment we left the cinema.

Punk is just a smug hypocrite who thinks a little too high of himself. I hope his feud with Daniel Bryan leads to a double-turn since Bryan is soo much more face-ish and much less of a hypocrite than Punk. Im a massive CM Punk fan, but you sir just nailed it. Im hoping for a 60 minute+ Iron Man match that pulls a double turn, or at least plants those seeds deep. I think face Bryan would open the door to a better career in the E for him, and they may as well take advantage of those pops, while its obvious to anyone that Punk is better/more interesting as a heel...plus its the only way we'll get that Austin match at 'mania. That said I doubt theyd go that route, and rightfully so, until well after the Punk DVD release. I guess the best we can hope for is gray Punk and face Bryan.
