Seriously, I do not know how how WWE smurfed Carlito up so bad. those promos were pure gold, on a par with Sean O'Haire and Save_Us. I remember thinking when I first saw him spit the apple in the old guy's face 'Vince just got his new Rock' - how wrong I was. At least I wish they'd kept Carribean Cool as part of his name, but I guess having two people on the roster who could potentially be called Triple something wouldn't have gone down too well....  |

His first promo is almost exactly like Razor Ramons first promo. Its kind of cool though. He reminds me of Razor alot when watching this. They should have given him Razor's music to. Or hell give it to him now. That music he's got now is horrible. Just a 20-second loop. If all else fails I think Carlito could do with another stint in Smackdown.

I thought this character was great.
Pity they had to move him to Raw, he was excellent on SmackDown.

Originally he was a good character.
The first mistake they made was to reduce him to a mononame.
Secondly, that whole Trish thing harmed him.

-More OVW
-Huge debut on SD, possibly winning the US title
-Getting over with the fans and really building momentum
-Getting abruptly sent over to Raw because Raw is the "A-show"
-Doing OK but failing to become as popular as the next Stone Cold within 2 weeks
-Jobbing on Heat

I agree with the mononame thing, it's pretty stupid, but what's even stupider was the name Carlito Caribbean Cool, which lacks any imagination whatsoever.
WWE Creative Guy #1: "Uhhh... so this Carlito guy... he's from the Caribbean and he's quite a cool character, what shall we name him?"
#2: "Why not just do the same thing we did with Mean Mark Dead And Wears Black?"
#1: "Gold!"
Should have called him Carlito Colon.
