Remember when the WWE would have a PIP during a match? Like HHH would bust in 'unexpected' in the PIP box cutting a heel promo on Mankind, while Mankind was wrestling someone else. This entertained me greatly, and added to the mystique that 'anything can happen'.
I would love to see a heel promo in PIP where you can see the heel try to shame his upcoming PPV opponent while that persons match is going on. You can even go wild and have another wrestler interrupt the PIP interruption!
Or how about this INSANE idea - DUAL WRESTLING MANIA? It's simple - split the screen in two - for the entire show! Have on screen watch the current match, the other screen showing a diverse amount of stuff, like a 'sudden' backstage brawl, sneaky perv camera man going into the womens locker room, or even perhaps we can see some of the famous pranks that go on.
I think with the huge TV's of today and the clarity of them, this could work. As to if the WWE could pull off enough quality content, that is another story!

They should bring back the interview segments where the wrestler's logo is in the background while they cut a promo.

I'm much more a fan of the wrestler being interviewed near the entrance. When Gene Okerlund came out and would interview the main eventers about 40 minutes into the first hour of Nitro, or do pre match promos in front of the whole crowd. Excellent stuff. "We've reached the shank of the evening, ladies and gentlemen..."
I think a lot had to do with who he interviewed as well, but that's another debate.
