I think it's just a matter of time before he goes the legend route. Or, you know, the WWF just goes with the Ole Anderson/ Double J/Jim Helwig route.

For as much as I like Sting, as far as I'm concerned, Naitch and Sting had their last match at the last Nitro - and while it wasn't a great match, I really look at it as their last "hurrah" together. I really don't see a business need to "go there" again.
Although, I have to be honest - I would love to see a career retrospect DVD done on the 'ol Stinger.

A real DVD with all his classic stuff from the 80's 90's and some stuff to tie up his career in the 2000's would be perfect.

I'd love to see Sting/Flair again, although being that their combined age is about 110, it'd probably be a slow match. I dunno, didn't really see much of Sting in TNA, can he still go like the old days?

Angle from this years BFG.

They should have had him come in a lot earlier, and have him do a dream match series with HBK, HHH, Undertaker, and then have the final sendoff for both him and Flair at Mania. DVD set ensues.

Sting vs Umaga? Hell no!!!! huh oh why not? it'd be as close to the Sting/Vader matches as he's gonna get. I forgot Sting/Cena which would be like the mortal kombat mirror match

Sting vs Undertaker has been on my dream match list for ages. I'm all for Sting vs Flair in Flair's final match. It just feels....... right.

And don't forget too, when Borden talked a few years ago about how going to WWE was against his religious principles (paraphrasing), that was much closer to the attitude era, when they were really REALLY pushing the sex and shock angles. Feels to me like they've toned that down quite a bit in recent years.
Although, rather than Sting vs. Flair, I'd like to see them together on the same side.

I'm torn on the idea of Sting in WWE. On the one hand, I'd LOVE to see it. On the other, one of the biggest things that could ever be said about him is that he NEVER worked for Vince. I don't really know what to think. I dont see how saying you never worked for the WWE is a good thing. Wouldnt Sting want to be remembered for wrestling the top stars in all the biggest promotions or remembered for never wrestling in the WWE.

They could, could is the key word. A great entrance for Mania with it being out door for Sting.
Just the thought of Sting in a feud with some guys would be great.
Taker vs. Sting Sting vs. Flair
Are just a few the WWE could really hype if they do it the right way

Wasn't there other newz saying that Sting had just re-signed with TNA for another year? Or did that wind up being fake?

To this current generation of WWF fans, Sting is nobody. He'll get zero pop for an appearance...heck if Dibiase gets no response, what kind will Sting get?

I'd be a little surprised if WWE brought Sting in, even for a Flair retirement match for several reasons:
1) His current physical abilities-I know some people here have said he's still got it, but it doesn't show on Impact. I haven't seen all the TNA PPV's, so maybe he turns it on there, but I think his move now are much less crisp and exciting than 10 years ago. Can he still impress a WWE crowd physically?
2) His history with WWE-He's turned Vince down before, citing his principles. I can't beleive Vince wasn't at least mildly insulted by that. And we all know Vince has a long memory.
3) WWE fan base-the current WWE fans don't really know who Sting is. Would they appropriately pop for Sting and Flair? Even in a career ending match?
I like Sting a lot and rank him among the top 20 all-time wrestlers, and I respect his stance on the WWE when WCW folded. So, I have mixed feelings. I'd like to see him on the biggest stage in wrestling, (he certainly deserves it-) but I might think a bit less of him for it.
