Being able to take advantage of an incident. wrestlinggonewrong.com/video/igw_rock_sock.htmlSeriously, what Mick Foley does in that promo is simple yet great. A lot of other guys would have just stared at the glasses with a dumbfounded look thinking "OMG that' s a botch what are we gonna do ??" and here, Mick does something very simple which still remains in character and actually transformed the accident in something even more awesome than if the promo would have gone as planned.

That's great. What you said is also true. I remember when APA once used the ring ropes as a weapon after it broke in one match. If a wrestler can take advantage of a situation it could become awesome.

Improvising is probably the biggest thing I picked up watching all of those Secrets of the Ring videos. I believe it was Raven who was talking about the Ultimate X match where the X kept falling off of the thing, and how everyone just stood there dumbfounded, when all that needed to be done was for someone, ANYONE, to grab the X! That's how you win the match, why didn't everyone dive for the thing? Even if the wrong person got it, the referee could've restarted it, and it would have saved the match. It seems like that should be one of the first things you learn in training.

And they didn't even end up airing it on the show.
