For the first few WrestleMania's, the WWE tried to stuff as many celebrities as inhumanly possible. Hell, they even had a celebrity in the main event.
Now back in the day this made a lot of sense, as McMahon was struggling to get all the exposure and attention possible. WrestleMania was a big gamble.
After the PPVs were established, and pro wrestling itself had exploded, it depended less and less on celebrities.
But with the Mike Tyson-included Wrestlemania 14, and the Trump-included Wrestlemania 23, it was still proven that celebrities equals attention.
So, what if the WWE went all out for the next wrestlemania? Make it a star-studded extravaganza-palooza. Would it be accepted by fans, would it garner mainstream media-attention? Could it recreate that feeling of something really really special, really unique?
