I enjoyed having Regal destroy HHH on Monday with that brutal head kick, made even better by HHH having long hair.
Anyway, this post is about the suit Regal was wrestling in, complete with the fancy shoes.
Question is this, was/is it dangerous to wrestle wearing that type of flat, slippery shoes? I was kinda worried for Regal as he came off the ropes a couple of times!
And they booked Coach perfectly, having him on the mat most of the time compared to Regal going toe to toe with HHH. I frankly was shocked they booked Regal so strong - I expected a squash match but due to HHH's recent 'giving' mood, ( must be the holidays? Perhaps he lost his shovel? ) he let Regal get some real offense on him. Regal looked as if he was trying to end HHH's career, not just beat him in a wrestling match!

I too was surprised that Regal got in as much offense as he did. I was expecting "BOOM, turnaround from corner, BOOM pedigree. Game over. I did feel like he should've been able to use the throwback "power of the punch" on ol' Trips though.

On a slightly unrelated note, slippery dress shoes gave us the greatest peoples elbow ever.
Rock just slid the entire way into the middle of the ring. It was pretty freaking sweet.

It of course has nothing to do with the fact that Trips and Regal are buddies...

Most wrestling boots have about as much tread on the bottom as those of a good pair of dress shoes, I'd imagine. That being they're designed to give you a bit of traction with leather and or/rubber on the bottom.
Also, when giving kicks... you want to be kicked by a flat sole, I'd imagine. I know back when my friends and I backyard wrestled, a kid got NOOCLEAR BACKSTAGEYARD HEATZORS for wearing a pair of Sketchers boots that, as my friend put it... "were like lego bricks on the bottom."

WWE doesn't buy their outfits unless it's part of the gimmick, like Max Moon's suit.

Also made awesome by his clothes flapping against the breeze he himself made, and didn't it start with him throwing his "$5,000" sunglasses into the audience 'cause he wasn't wearing elbow pads? You're right. Best. People's. Elbow. E-e-e-e-evvver!
