Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore?
Is this the kiss of death, and does it EVER end well?
When the WWE "has nothing for you," you end up in a tag team that makes no sense and has no story attached. It's a backhanded insult to the two men involved, and it seems like the kiss of death.
I can only imagine how dreadful it must have been to be randomly teamed with Funaki or Scotty 2 Hotty.
Has a random pairing like this ever ended well? And no counting Cody and Holly, because they built that as a story. It wasn't a throwaway like Moore-Wang.
Huh huh huh.. I said "More wang." Huh huh..

Miz and Morrison?
Though I'd say the ultimate "we've screwed up your careers royally, so here, team up together" thing was the New Age Outlaws.

It's not like they're a completely mismatched team either. They both work a fast paced style, and seem to be a good fit together as a high flying team.

Were the New Age Outlaws just two guys who ended up stuck together, or was there a reason and a story attached to them hooking up?

Is it just me or was Billy Gunn the master of the random teams who got over. Him and BG Him and Big Show Him and Chuck He has made a living off of having a stale career.

They were two guys who were basically jobbers at that point, with horrible gimmicks. They did a story I guess, where Rockabilly turned on Honkey Tonk Man to join up with "The Real Double J" Jesse James, whom he was "feuding" with prior to the teaming.

I'm talking about the two chunks of dead weight that they slap together in order to put over the "real" tag team. Funaki & .... Scotty 2 Hotty & .... Snitsky & .... Jamie Noble & .... Test & .... Rodney Mack & ....

It would be more interesting just to feud two guys.

It would be more interesting just to feud two guys. I would say that's pretty much what they've done with Palumbo and Dykstra and then Noble. TV-only feuds that never carry over to PPV because it's with the lower card talent and not about a title.

RVD seemed to jump back and forth from wrestling for the Intercontinental Title to a random tag team for several years.
-RVD & Kane -RVD & Booker T -RVD & Rey Mysterio

Does it seem wierd to anyone that an asian and a "punk" are cowboys now? Or is Moore not a cowboy? He does wear a cowboy hat to the ring right? I'm so confused.

Moore is just a hick who likes punk music. That's what he is in real life, too. And yeah, London/Kendrick had no story. Other than brief mentions by the Velocity announcers that they were long time friends in the wrestling business. Honestly the announcers could probably say the same thing about Moore/Wang, as they've been in the same companies for a sizable chunk of their careers going back to the Jung Dragons and 3 Count.
