My favourite singles match is Greg Valentine vs Ronnie Garvin in a submission match at the 1990 Rumble. Favourite Tag match is the Rockers vs the Orient Express at the 1991 rumble. Seriously on the Valentine/Garvin match? Each to their own and all, but I really hated that match. The "hearbreaker" and "Hammer Jabber" business made little psychological sense and worse still the number of times that each of them went for a cover in a submissions only match made them both look as incredulously dim as is possibly attainable in a one on one match up. Would have to go for Benoit v Angle at RR03 on this. Closely followed by Cactus v Triple H at RR2000.

Still, they're both geniuses compared to Savage, who made a cover during an actual Rumble match and then lost because of it.

Not forgetting 1992 when Savage went after Jake Roberts by throwing himself over the top rop to the floor with Gorrilla and Bobby having to cover it up by saying "em....you cannot eliminate yourself in a Royal Rumble..." despite somebody eliminating themself in every Royal Rumble before and since. Ah Randy Savage. I guess the Royal Rumble match was just was too complicated for him.

HBK vs. HHH - Last Man Standing - 2004
The return of HBK as an active wrestler and easily one of my top 10 fav matches of the last 10 years. Angle/Benoit was a great technical wrestling match, but HHH/HBK had that "it" factor. I literally bought that PPV for that match.

Just basing it on Rumbles I've actually seen, I was a big fan of the Big Bossman beating the Road Dogg at the 1999 event. That sidewalk slam came out of nowhere and damn near looked like it killed the D-O-double G.

I can't be the only one that loved Bret vs Diesel Oh I loved that match too, I just don't think it's up there with Benoit/Angle or Jack/Trips.

Ah Randy Savage. I guess the Royal Rumble match was just was too complicated for him. Dude got bit by a cobra! That'll mess ya up some, I'd think! If anything, he got caught up in the feud. Not all a bad thing. However after Savage got back in, he did absolutely nothing of note for the rest of the match. Even his final elimination made him look weak. So his quick self-elimination would've been a lot better had he just beatdown Jake and gotten carried to the back by the officials...

I actually think that added more to the match. Both guys were so into actually winning the match that they couldn't remember that it was submission only. It was the first time I could ever recall a submission match in the WWF (I'm sure there were more before but none that spring to mind) so pretty much every wrestler would instinctly go for pinfalls in matches.

My all time favorite is Hardyz/Dudleys because that really brought me on the Hardyz bandwagon, something that I am still on today
Honorable Mention *Piper/Mountie *Bret/Diesel *Angle/Benoit

I also love Boss Man vs The Barbarian at the 91 rumble. Both men could actually move around and put on a good match. And the Barbarian suplexing the Boss Man with ease is always great.

I can't be the only one that loved Bret vs Diesel I liked it, and I thought it was one of the few times when outside interference didn't ruin the match for me. I'll throw in another vote, though, for Benoit vs. Jericho in the ladder match. I marked enough for that match to repeat it several times on SmackDown! vs. Raw 2007. Of course, I marked hard for their tag team, too, so it was a feud they had whenever they weren't the Tag Team champions.
