I was just readign the lastest wwe magazine and they had a top five non royal rumble matches of all time that weren't the actual rumble so logically it got me thinking what was you're favorite match that you look back on and remember. I usually remember the rumble for the rumble but last year I thin that cena-umaga was even better then the rumble. On top of that I really think that the marty jannety-shawn michales match from royal rumble 1993 was really good and probably the best non rumble match to me at least!

Not sure if they'd mention it, but Benoit/Angle was damn good as well.
And Cactus Jack vs. Triple-H in 2000 was good as well.

Shawn Vs. Jannetty and X-Pac Vs. Gangrel are the two that I look back on being something almost nice.

Piper/Mountie in 1992, just for the crowd pop when Piper wins his first WWF title. It still gives me goosebumps, dammit.

Cactus/Trips. Benoit/Angle is almost as good.

Angle/Benoit is the first thing that comes to mind.

My favourite singles match is Greg Valentine vs Ronnie Garvin in a submission match at the 1990 Rumble. Favourite Tag match is the Rockers vs the Orient Express at the 1991 rumble.

This question pops up all the time, and Trips/Cactus and Benoit/Angle get mentioned most, and for good reason.
But when looking through my tapes, I find myself watching the Hardys/Dudleys table match from 2000 more than any other midcard match.

As far as little remembered matches go, The Dudleys vs. Evolution tables match was actually a pretty good one, I thought. Some unique uses of the table, well put together.

The Benoit/Jericho Ladder match in 2001 was pretty awesome.

The Benoit/Jericho Ladder match in 2001 was pretty awesome. My favorite part was when Jericho had Benot trapped under the bottom rung of the ladder. That would have made a great, dramatic ending, a la Wrestlemania X when Shawn Michaels got his foot stuck in the ropes.

Easily Benoit/Angle.
I don't think they'll be pimping that match any time soon though.

Rockers/Orient Express is great.
But I think Benoit/Angle is the best, just beating out Trips/Cactus.
Oh, and that WWE Magazine list of the top 5 non-rumble Rumble matches was pathetic. I understand they can't list Benoit matches, but there are others much better than these. Here's the list:
5. Cena/Umaga (great match, but not top 5) 4. Flair/McMahon (not even close) 3. Dudleyz/Hardyz (good, but only for 2 or 3 spots) 2. Jericho/Rock (decent, but the ending sucks) 1. Mankind/Rock (great match, maybe top 5 worthy, but not #1)

Benoit/Angle.
The fact that it came after the worst match of the year (Steiner/HHH) made it so much better.

My three favorites are Rockers Vs. Orient Express from '91, Bret Hart Vs. Razor Ramon from '93, and Brock Lesnar Vs. Big Show from '03.
