I wonder why WWE now ALWAYS has it's PPV's on a Sunday. Isn't that kind of counter productive, especially with the younger generation who might have to go to school in the morning and especially an issue when it comes to late finishing PPV's like Wrestlemania.
Is it just habbit now that Sunday evenings is PPV day? What's wrong with Sunday afternoon's when parents might be more incline to agree for their child to watch the even as it wouldn't mean staying up until gone 11pm. Why not Saturday's when it doesn't matter what time people get up in the morning as they next day is Sunday.
Does anyone know why it seems tradition now for PPV's to ALWAYS be on Sunday evenings (Taboo Tuesday aside) whereas in the beginning they were far more flexible.

I'd like to see friday PPV's myself, but this is coming from a guy who works every sunday night.More people watch tv in the evenings so i doubt they's ever go to afternoons.Monday to Thursday would not work well (Tuesday In Texas bombed hard if memory serves),and they'd have compete head to head with UFC on saturday nights so i can't see them changing.I hate to say it but sunday is probably the best day, which means i've gotta book off 'Mania every year

I hate Sundays.
Fridays or Saturdays would be cool for PPV's, even though I don't order them

well, in the UK, ppv's finish at 4am on Monday morning, so it's far from ideal.

I read a stat once which said that $1 in every $4 WWE make comes from the international market and the largest by far international market (defined as outside North America) is the UK. Time shifting PPV's or having them on different days would be helpful from that perspective without having to upset the American audience.

The only thing Sunday's are useful for is so Batista can get whatever it is he is needing, back.

Whats so special about it? Well a lot of people go out and party and do stuff on Friday and Saturday night. The only event I could see people stopping and saying "Oh we gotta stay home and watch this" is Wrestlemania. Remember their main demographic is 18-30 years old.
So keep the Sunday PPVs. And why change something that has worked for about 20 years now?!?!?!

Saturday wouldn't be a bad day at all. UFC's gotten big time by-rates on them, so I don't see what the problem is.
WWE has run a pay-per-view on Sunday Afternoon. It was one of the shows from the late 80's.
I've never liked sunday nights for pay-per-views personally. I've always had school the next day, so it's either miss it and not be tired, or see it and be tired. Or if you are like me, you nearly fall asleep during it. I would settle though if WWE would maybe move their shows down an hour earlier.

Well they could have it on a different day or two hours earlier. What's so special about 8pm on a Sunday evening? Only 1 real competition.(1 sports game normally or Fox lineup.) Week nights are out. Since they have TV on Monday, Tuesday and Friday Friday also is a night that people go out. Saturday People go out and there is Collage football for a major part, then NBA in the prime time slot. Sunday Football is in the day from September untill early Feb. Then you get NCAA and NBA, and NHL and AFL and MLB all on the rest of the year in the late afternoon. Also People go to church, spend time with family. Study for school. That takes out the Day.
