Shortly after the Truth Commission disbanded, they put Recon and Sniper in a short-lived tag team. Anyone remember the name of it? I almost said Apocalypse, but that's too close to the then-recent Disciples of Apocalypse. Armageddon, maybe?

They didn't even spell Armageddon right.

..Such an..unfitting entrance theme. They also used that theme briefly as Brakkus' entrance theme for his one or two matches that he actually had on TV...

Armageddon had my favourite finisher of the time, the backdrop into powerbomb combo. Didn't get the win here, but I loved it.

Wow. Never seen that. I always thought Bull Buchanan was decent though.

Ah it is Pritchard, he must have just been replacing someone at the time IIRC, they used to distribute Shotgun internationally as Superstars and Prichard was a regular part of the broadcast team. Heck, I think Gorilla Monsoon was still commentating on that broadcast too. Since they use the Shotgun logo in this video, this is the original broadcast - Kevin Kelly and I think Cornette did the show. So Prichard was probably filling in or something.

The Truth Commission was before I really started following wrestling. I know who a couple of them are, but what was their gimmick/purpose? And when did they start? I can't really find anything about them anywhere.
Thakns, if anyone could help explain.

Heel stable of South African military dudes, don't remember them having much of a purpose besides typical foreign heel stuff about hating Americans. Started out with Recon (Bull Buchanan), Sniper, Kurrgan, and managed by a fat guy called The Commandant. The Commandant got replaced after a little while by Don Callis, and I think Mantaur had also been part of the group really briefly under a different name before getting fired. The group started with all 4 guys, plus the Commandant in the USWA, not sure what year they started down there. Recon and Sniper were the tag guys, Kurrgan was the enforcer/singles guy. Truth Commission vs. LOD www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPffXDQDIFY&feature=relatedTruth Commission vs. Headbangers, also Jim Cornette expresses his man-love for Bull Buchanan. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsCc3CfE5bg

This is in stark contrast to the goofy dancin' Kurrgan that he became while in the Oddities. Moral: We need Khali to start dancin' to ICP and waving his hands in the air.
