if they can't think of anything, give him a new gimmick.
I mean...
He can play different characters, because he's not actually the boogeyman.

It has nothing to do with them not being able to think of stuff for him, Wrestlezone put their own Newz-y spin on the story. My post on the second page covers what was actually reported. It's the fact that Dusty is doing a wrestling based product, his limited skills, the fact that he's injury prone, and that he only has a couple of supporters on the writing team. They completely made up the line about not being able to think of anything for him.

When was the last time that Boogey got injured? Was it the WM injury? Besides that, he has seemingly improved to a dramatic rate (thanks to Booker...uh oh). Just remember his early squashes and then look at this... www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtMmuPli_EsBoogeyman v. Morrison Is it perfect? No. But it is a tremendous improvement. Anyway, his gimmick is getting a little old. He needs something besides worms. You can only be "disgusted" for so long...before you just get used to it.

When was the last time that Boogey got injured? Was it the WM injury? Pwinsider had said a while ago that he was out with a calf injury which was the reason for his absence from programming for much of the Fall. It had said his timetable to return was around early November, which was pretty close to when he returned to tv for that Halloween skit.

I thought he was out during that time to "sell" the beating that Big Daddy V gave him.

I say let him break kayfabe and start removing the makeup and all that stuff in the middle of the ring after he loses a match

I say let him break kayfabe and start removing the makeup and all that stuff in the middle of the ring after he loses a match Technically it wouldn't be breaking kayfabe, because they guy's character isn't actually that of a Boogeyman. Just a nutjob that was going be the lead actor in a show called "The Boogeyman" and started playing the part. The story was that the actor had a multi year contract with "the network" and Palmer Canon ended up making the call to put him on Smackdown.

I don't really see any news.... I know it's gotten old to bash newz sites but come on, there is no factual evidence here that would lead me to believe this. I could care less if he got fired. It was pretty dumb for all the stuff he's put into his gimmick (IE: teeth pulled out, haircut etc.) His teeth got knocked out in football, he didn't have them pulled out for the WWE (LMAO) and his hairstyle is no big deal, most wrestlers endure bad cuts for years to suite there character.

Since he's already hanging about, why not use him as a non-wrestling character? Have him suffer a huge beating, and 'career-ending injury at the hands of some major heel like Big Daddy V. Then, the next week Teddy Long announces he has a new Executive Assistant on Smackdown *cue Boogeyman music*
Then just have him pop up for wacky backstage skits once a week. He'd make a good change of pace in that kind of role instead of just the usual 'Mr McMahon or a lackey doing his bidding'. Dress him in a raggedy suit and acting like a loon all the time. Could be funny. He could always result in heels being given awful matches and so on.
And if need be, he is capable of taking a beating or dishing one out in a short simple match to pay off any long running feuds.
There are a lot of things to do with him if he doesn't fit in on ECW. The character has some interesting places it could go. But if he's not gonna be Boogeyman, there's probably no need to keep him about. Well, other than the fact that the 'network' has a multi-year contract with him.

Boogeyman, GM...would be hilarious.
"I'm the Boogeyman! And...you're going ONE ON ONE with da UNDATAKAH!"
"Vickie, I got the sandwich you wanted." "Oh, that's...is it a worm sandwich?" "Of course." "Get away from me." *Manical Laughter*

One word: Exorcism.
Several more words: Wouldn't it be great if someone "healed" the Boogeyman and he became Marty Wright?
Or, why not build a new "Ministry of Darkness"

For some strange reason I was wondering what happened to him today. I thought with his injury history and being one of Booker's projects that he had gotten released and I had forgotten. He did seem to be getting better in the ring but, the Boogeyman character itself has gotten real boring and predictable. A heel turn might be interesting but, he's been a comedy guy for so long, I don't know if they could really pull it off.
