More than any other wrestler in WWE's developmental, I REALLY want to see Colt Cabana on television. I think he'd be a great addition to ECW, and maybe he could resume his old partnership with CM Punk to give each character another person to work off of.
How likely do you think it is that Colt will be on TV in '08?

You realize, of course, he's not going to be Colt Cabana.

You realize, of course, he's not going to be Colt Cabana. Before Punk, i woulda said you were right. But it seems like WWE is now aware of Indy guy's persona's in the past and if they were big here, they haven't changed their gimmicks much. Colt is still Colt in OVW as is Matt Sydal.

I think Colt is someone whose character they'd also keep pretty similar because of his goofiness. I can see them putting him on RAW as a midcard face, and having him in a lot of comedy segments. As for the Second City Saints, I don't ever see that happening in WWE. I believe either Cabana or Ace said in an interview that they were going on their own seperate paths as far as their characters, and in OVW they certainly haven't even seemed to have any inclination to test the idea of tagging them together or anything.

God if they put him with Santino that might be the best thing ever.

What are the odds of Colt being brought to the main-roster as Twinkie the Kid?

I think out of anyone currently in Developmental, Cabana and Matt Sydal have the best chance of making it up to the main roster in 2008.

As green as he is, his look with the afro and chains is different compared to the other bodybuilder types. Plus he's got enough charisma, to go with a really out there character where he stands out as a unique character. I'd expect to see him up soon.

Then again, I believe Colt can make any gimmick work. I remember them mentioning on the WSX DVD that Matt Classic was just something for Colt to do before the next season. Lo and behold, it got over huge. At least for the internet crowd.

I think Sydal will be called up before Cabana but I still think Cabana has a shot in 08.

That doesn't mean anything. If the WWE were to be looking for a guy who resembles Pete Gas to form a new "Mean Street Posse" type group of snobs they could pick up Cabana and change is name to Reginald Van Hoof and play it straight lace. OVW's characters have no effect on how they are pushed in WWE (see The Bashams and Santino) Punk was pushed as Punk because Heyman had a hard on for him

I would be very surprised if he wasn't. He got the whole package, not to mention his best friend and guy who he broke into the business with adapted rather well to the WWE style and is sure to give a few pointers on how to have management like you.
I see no fail in Cabana's future in WWE.

I think who and what Colt debuts as is up in the air. The "Cabana" stuff as stupid as it sounds could be up in the air with Carlito having had Carlito's Cabana, even though he doesn't do that anymore.
Plus with Punk's look, there was only so much they could've done with him with his drug free, straight edge and Pepsi tattoos, minus putting him in an MVP outfit and forming a Power Rangers tag team managed by Lance Storm.
Also, Cabana seems like the type of guy to roll with whatever is suggested for him to do and have fun/try to make the best of it.
