I'd only support a Colt Cabana call up if they changed his gimmick to something that doesn't annoy the smurf out of me, because that's what his current gimmick has done. Aside from that, I don't see this whole package everyone's talking about, unless they're talking about a package of vanilla ice cream.
And I'd say Atlas DaBone is closer to a call up, because he's more over with the kids, and has more marketability. In-ring skills may not be where they need to be, but he's a cash cow in the making, and that, above all else, is what the E cares about. Other people who are close are Mike Kruel, Roucka, and if he can adapt his moveset to the E's "safe style," Matt Sydal. No SSPs for you, Matt. I don't care how well you do them.

I am patiently waiting on Colt's arrival. Even if it isn't as Colt Cabana, he'll make it work. If he does come in as Colt, then '08 is officially official like a referee with a stop watch.

I know Evans and Kozlov have been working a lot of dark matches, so I could see them coming up soon as well. Evans certainly has an intense, powerful look, and I assume Kozlov would just be a typical foreign heel monster. Speaking of guys who've been in dark matches recently (and worked a couple of TV squashes), what's the deal with The Artist Formerly Known as KC James? I saw on the OVW website that he's got a picture of his face on the TV title belt, is his new gimmick just like a basic narcissistic heel one?

They haven't really delved into the whole picture on the belt thing, except to say "and he's got a picture of himself on the TV title belt." That, and he's done a couple of cocky promos, but nothing on the level of the narcissistic heel. He had a pretty good match with Cody Rhodes that was televised last week (Cody's been dropping by every once in a while), pulling out the clean win, which kinda surprised me.
And I feel horrible for overlooking Shawn Spears in my previous post. The guy has turned in some great work these past few months, both in the ring, on the stick, and just in his interaction with Cabana as the dysfunctional tag team champions. He should be brought up if only for the angle of randomly whacking Cody Rhodes with a chair. That, and he's a great chicken-shit heel. Think Jarrett without the annoying accent.

What about Burchall? He's been stranded in OVW for a year and a half now.

What about Burchall? He's been stranded in OVW for a year and a half now. To be honest, I'm not thrilled about his chances. He could get called back up, but I could see him getting the "Creative has nothing for you" line that so many other guys get after being sent down to OVW for repackaging. They haven't really delved into the whole picture on the belt thing, except to say "and he's got a picture of himself on the TV title belt." That, and he's done a couple of cocky promos, but nothing on the level of the narcissistic heel. Thanks, I know he wrestled in a dark match between the SD/ECW tapings last week and pinned Evans. I'd also really like to see Spears get the callup as he seems like a really good heel from the stuff I've seen from him, especially in the angle with Cody. He seems like he's ready both character wise, and in-ring. Unfortunately, I worry that they'll overlook him for a callup because he's kind of skinny, or decide to make him a babyface if they call him up.

As long as they don't Orton him, Spears will do fine.

I think out of anyone currently in Developmental, Cabana and Matt Sydal have the best chance of making it up to the main roster in 2008. I actually think Atlas Dabone does. As green as he is, his look with the afro and chains is different compared to the other bodybuilder types. Plus he's got enough charisma, to go with a really out there character where he stands out as a unique character. I'd expect to see him up soon. ......I'm certain these same kind of things were said about the Boogeyman, and......well, look what happened there...

I'd expect to see him up soon. ......I'm certain these same kind of things were said about the Boogeyman, and......well, look what happened there... Different scenarios, Boogeyman as a character was over for a while, but had a short shelf due being 100% a gimmick/niche character. He was a sideshow attraction type, and his character wasn't one taken seriously as a real contender or anything. Not to mention that Marty Wright is injury prone, and in his 40's which also de-railed any type of push. Atlas certainly has some very gimmicky aspects to him, but he's still someone who can be taken seriously as a regular performer. He's over the top and outlandish, but not anywhere close to being the sideshow type character that the Boogeyman is. Not that my post was meant to predict any level of success for him anyways, it was just point out the attributes which would get him a call up. Since it's brought up though, I'd agree with Cenanuff's assessment about him having a lot of potential to be marketable.

Matt Classic would work in WWE.
That would be a great character.
When he wrestles, the screen should go black and white.

I'd agree with Cenanuff's assessment about him having a lot of potential to be marketable. Don't just sip the Kool-Aid, man. Drink it down. Just off the top of my head, the E could make a mint off the towel, the fake chain, the wig, and the sunglasses, as well as all the T shirts that everyone would buy. He's seriously a cash cow waiting to be milked.

Colt has way to much talent, personality, and ability to stick in OVW for the whole year of 2008. Has to be brought up sometime.

I'd say Colt will be brought up sometime between Wrestlemania and Summerslam.

Almost definitely. He'll be on ECW sooner rather than later, and it will be glorious.

I'm sorry, I just don't see what people are so high on the man about. He just seems very bland to me, and his current gimmick is annoying.
