Talk about rope burn. OUCH. And let it be said again - what a greatly booked and entertaining Royal Rumble match that was.

Talk about rope burn. OUCH. And let it be said again - what a greatly booked and entertaining Royal Rumble match that was. It remains my favourite Rumble of all time. Not because it had the most action, but because it had most of the people I remember the Attitude Era for. And you have to love Kai En Tai's run in's

is this the one where everyone just *stops* and starts dancing(Too Cool) If so it is my fav. But watching that again is sad because so many people have passed, in fact I believe there is a moment in the match where everyone who was in the ring at the time were no longer with us, so its kind of depressing, yet very good.

He was like the Storm Trooper that suns into the door! Seen that Rumble loads, never noticed that before! Poor Pete.

That Royal Rumble event is what started me as a wrestling fan, really. I was a WCW fan before that but it was only with that PPV that I really started getting into it.
The fact that this year's Rumble is back at MSG is like...well it's like my time as a wrestling fan coming full circle.

This was a really, really good Royal Rumble. So many great matches and moments. I'd need to run over a match listing for most Rumbles to jog my memories of watching them live, but I distinctly can remember instantly a lot of great stuff that happened at Rumble 2000.

he tried to slide into the ring, but hit rope and fell off the apron.
while this was hillarious, it's still not as funny as Taka's bump.

This Rumble, on dvd, unblurred, once netted me £35 on ebay.
The 2000 Wrestlemania is a similar unblurred condition netted me over £50.
Considering i got them for £8 and £12 each, that's a tidy profit and an ever lasting reminder that this was a brilliant ppv!

RR 2000 was the first one ever on channel 4 and what got me and i'm sure many other into wrestling.
I remember having to wait till the heat the sunday afterwards to find out who'd won the cactus jack HHH match at no way out cause it wasn't on C4.

I will maintain that they need to bring Too Cool back. Not because they were so talented, but because they were SO OVER!

It looks so strange to see the Big Show with long hair, even though he had it for the first part of his career.
Kinda like seeing old Kurt Angle matches where he has hair. Just something that we know we've seen, but just doesn't look right.

I actually think this is the worst rumble (with the exception of 1995). The undercard of this event is brilliant but the rumble itself is awful.
