After the past two RAWs, I couldn't help but notice that the Carolina crowds looked bored out of their minds (save for Flair appearances).
Tonight kinda sealed it for me, when APA got a real half-assed pop.

Unless your name is Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Magnum TA, Dusty Rhodes, Tully Blanchard, The Road Warriors or Nikita Koloff.......then fans wont make them selves known.

As a North Carolinian I can tell you we want WRESTLING... not SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT!
We don't want a segment... waste of time... with fake Shawn Michaels, Marty Jannetty, Razor and Deisel. That crap was unwatchable.
btw... I went to an ECW event in Concord NC in 1999 and it was a sold out HOT crowd.

Yes, they suck monumentally. Well, for the most part, so did the show.

Are we going to get a "Tonight's crowd sucked" every week?

South Carolina was significantly better than its North counterpart, but yeah, give me the Northeast crowds any day.

In the Raw thread people talk about how bad the show is, Then theres a thread asking why wasn't the crowd hot. Besides the APA showing up, What was there to get excited about?

To Sabu, as a fellow North Carolinian I completely agree. Also, back in the late 90s when WWF(E) was really smokin, the crowds popped big. I know because I was there at some of the events. The product is just bland now. We've seen some of the best angles of all time in this region and we're picky about what we pop for. We're not pop whores people, unlike those damn northeasterners .

I wouldn't care about people not cheering if they actually gave the show a chance in the first place and it sucked. It's kinda hard to get into a show when the performers are trying to entertain and the crowd craps all over it. Plus it ruins the experience for the home audience. If you're just going to sit on your hands for 95% of the show then there's no point in buying the ticket.

Tonight kinda sealed it for me, when APA got a real half-assed pop. To be fair, that theme's been used for Ron Simmons so much lately that they probably didn't go batcrap crazy because it was him. Plus it seems recent crowds seem to be a.....bit too newbish, so even a tag team from 4 years ago returning wouldn't get much of a pop. That said, I more than made up for it in my living room, and shame on that crowd for not popping like mad when it was clear Ron wasn't alone.

That word is just a blanket term for Vince to use to avoid paying sports related taxes. Nothing more. Wrestling always had skits, hell wrestling originated in carnivals for crying out loud. WWE just does them in excess.
