Mero's got a bad heart from years of steroid abuse, so it's not like the guy's just trying to get on TV like Chyna or Brian Christopher. The guy's done with wrestling, has nobody in the business that he's trying to impress or kissass for a job...he's just doing what he feels is right.
I can't fault him for that. And he hasn't pushed his heart problems on TV as much as he should, because he's trying to win bigger arguments and open eyes to the lifestyle that SOME in the business are drawn into.

That rubbed me the wrong way reading that in Foley's book. At the point he refused to feud with Mero, Mero was more over than him and was a way better in ring worker than Foley.
Foley was also mad that Mero was making more money than him. Mero was a superstar from WCW coming over when he got signed and Foley was just a stuntman with mic skills coming from the indy scene.

Watch the Mind Games match between Mankind and Shawn Michaels, and try to find any Marc Mero match that even comes close to how great that match was.

It's just too bad that, in the WWE, Mero got upstaged by his surgically overinflated, talentless, bimbo wife, and had his career snuffed because of it.

Johnny B. Badd from 1994 to 1996 in WCW was a great wrestler IMO...had some very nice matches with Pillman, Austin etc.

I don't think Mero was that bad at all. Not the greatest, but a lot better than a great number of wrestlers out there. Certainly better than a lot of guys who get main event pushes. But, honestly, who is Mick Foley to criticize anyone on their WRESTLING abilities? I think you mean ATHLETIC abilities. Because Foley is a very good wrestler, the number of good to great matches he has proves that.

I am a Bouncer, its what defines me as a Person. How do you learn to fall from on a 20-foot ladder raver?

So I take it you never saw the Mind Games match against Shawn Michaels? Or Royal Rumble 2000 vs. HHH? Or any of his WCW matches against Vader?

Mero was a pretty solid performer from what I remember. His feud with DDP was pretty good, as was his feud with HHH. It went downhill when his wife became more popular than him.

I liked Mero too for a little while....I got backstage to WCW with a friend when I was little and met him when I was real young and he was a super nice guy he posed for pictures and talked to us and everything and was real cool....i think since his face lift and his late-wwf days he turned into a real douche though.
but anyone remember that video going around with him in the shotgun saturday night battle royal...he would go over to one section of the crowd and start jumping up and down with his arms in the air and the crowd would pop....funny stuff..

Well in that case you are completely wrong and didn't make a point at all and actually look pretty dumb by saying Foley is a bad wrestler.

I marked (pun definitely intended) for Mero's early finisher in the WWF: The Wild Thing (a shooting star press). Even the TKO was pretty cool.
I always thought Mero had the potential to be great. But yeah, once Sable became the focus, the poor guy never stood a chance.
