from 1993 to 1996 many various stars arrived at ECW and left soon after...could you please tell me more of their stints? I´m talkin´ bout more unknown/unpopular appearances, not Austin or Pillman stuff
f.e. Kevin Sullivan & Woman Arn Anderson Ron Simmons Konnan Terry Gordy (I think I saw his name somewhere attached to an ECW show) Rick Steiner (something with Taz right?) Crash The Terminator (later Hugh Morrus in WCW) Jim Neidhart (!?)
what was the purpose of bringing in these guys? did they have any significant influence, feud or storyline there? why didn´t they stay longer? they weren´t getting over neither, right?

I believe Rick Steiner was brought in to take Sabu's place in a tag team match. I read that fans were unhappy with Sabu being gone, so Paul brought in Steiner as a "present" for the fans.

Scott and Rick wrestled a few matches and sided with Taz in his feud with someone(Eliminators i think). I watched a Scott Steiner shoot, and I think he said they did it just to do it.

Gee, thanks Paul... Seeing as the fans loved it, I'd say it did very well, though you may not have liked it. I think Junkyard Dog was a guest of the ECW Wrestlepalooza 1998 PPV.

Gee, thanks Paul... WOW!!!! Are you kidding about "Gee Thanks, Paul"? regarding 1994 Steiner in ECW? To help you out...In 2007, that would've been the equivalent of saying that Bryan Danielson missed an ROH title challenge against Morishima, so Gabe replaced him with Austin Aries & Brent Albright carrying Brock Lesnar by piggyback.

The Steiners in ECW was amazing. Something I never thought I'd see. They were brutal.

ECW had some sort of working relationship with WCW in 1993-94, so that's how some of those guys were able to appear.

Terry Gordy faced off against Bam Bam Bigelow in the battle of the Bam Bam's. That's all I remember. Konnan came in to just wrestle I think.. then ended up getting Misterio and Super Crazy and Juvi, etc. booked.
Now for best ECW celebrity appearance.. Billy Corgan. No doubt.

Both worked for WCW and Smokey Mountain around this time, before Cornette signed the SMW agreement with WWF. -WCW signed both Woman and Konnan from ECW. Woman was Sandman's valet. Konnan was part of the "Extreme Lucha Libre" movement, and was in a TV tag match with Rey/Juvi/Psicosis...and was less of a protruding sore thumb than you'd think. - The Steiners helped make TAZ what he was. That was the deal. Taz was a barefoot savage. Taz came back as a fighter. Taz "trained" with the Steiners. After hanging out with the Steiners, he was a MMA/suplex machine for five straight years. The Steiners beat Big Dick Dudley & Vampire Warrior at an outdoor show for "Hardcore TV", and maybe won a six-man. Scott Steiner wore a Gold's Gym wifebeater under his classic Steiner flouresent, gaudy singlet in the Vampire/Dudley match. - Ron Simmons was wrongly fired/laid off by WCW...that's why he was in ECW. He had a crappy match with ECW World Champ Shane Douglas in Florida. Probably Shane's fault. - Terry Gordy had a stroke before entering ECW. Watching him was sad. He reformed MVC with Dr. Death, and fought Raven for the ECW Title. Dream matches were far gone with his health. He also fought Brian Lee (Chainz). Gordy was a shell of his former self, and couldn't cut a promo anymore because his brain and motor functions were essentially fried. -WCW stole/signed Crash the Terminator (Morrus). Don't think he did anything other than fight the Eliminators. -I'd think Neidhart was in ECW with Snuka and Muraco in the "Eastern Championship Wrestling" period.

Was a little later (I think 1997ish, maybe 98) but Jake the Snake teamed with Tommy Dreamer on a PPV.
Also I know Marty Jannetty spent some time in ECW but I never saw any of it.

Yeah, I have an old tape of him in a battle royal making it down to the final 2 with Mikey Whipwreck to see who would face Sandman for the ECW Title in 1995.

TAKA Michinoku came in for a few shows and was part of the 6 man Michinoku Pro Tag match at "Barely Legal". The Great Sasuke came in to job to Justin Credible and Jado and Gedo wrestled the Impact Players. Kamala did a couple of shows as "Uganda".
