Would WWE do an ECW-type "Invasion" with ROH?

I was wondering if an "invasion" similar to the appearance of ECW wrestlers on Raw in 1997 would work nowadays, with WWE showcasing ROH talent on their show.

Or is WWE too stubborn nowadays to recognize any other promotion in existence?

They wouldn't even let Paul run ECW, I doubt they'd let Gabe do that.

Heyman had a lot of say in the '97 Invasion. No one's claiming they would make an ROH brand.

I just hope it wouldn't be a dud like the NWA Invasion.

I think it could be cool, like, if they briefly had talent go on either shows. They could run the Hammerstein on one episode of ECW/Smackdown, and have ROH talent on their television show maybe.

It would be good for the ROH crowd to see guys like CM Punk, Colt Cabana, James Gibson, Paul London and Brian Kendrick for one night. What they could do is have maybe for example, the Briscoes defend their ROH Tag Team Titles against maybe, London and Kendrick and beat them, and maybe on one of the WWE shows, they have The Briscoes challenge either Cade & Murdoch or Deuce n' Domino for the tag team titles, and just barely lose in something like that. I'd be interested to see how a ROH crowd would react to some WWE talent anyway.

Who knows what the future holds? But if they did, I'd expect a lot of anti-sports entertainment promos from the ROH side.

Why would they? I'm willing to bet that at least 70% of WWE fans have no clue what ROH is, and WWE is firmly the number 1 promotion forever so they don't need to

If Gabe booked it, maybe. But I don't think WWE invasions are EVER gonna' work again, because the invading side somehow ALWAYS ends of being the heel side, even when it's another WWE brand (ECW, anyone?).
