ESPN is getting ready to run a report on Pacman.
They hyped it by saying, "Did Pacman Jones go too far at Sunday's pro wrestling event? Find out next."
Oh boy...

The entire story will just be Tomko saying "no" to answer our question. or something. Who knows. I'd laugh if the Titans are preparing a lawsuit as we speak.

Stewart Scott "Remember that wrestling is choreographed, it's as real as you want it to be."
Haha.

Well...they just mocked the whole thing.
They mentioned the suspension from wrestling and how he "walked in" and then was found backstage. Then they mentioned that wrestling is choreographed and said, "It's as real really as you want it to be." in a smirking tone.
Meh. Nothing too harsh.

I laughed at the crowd shitting all over it, booing him and cheering when he was down in the backstage area.

So what exactly did Pacman do at the PPV? Got attacked by "I'm not released yet!" Ron Killings.

ESPN aggressively bashes wrestling because RAW and Nitro back in the day have handed them their a$$es in the cable ratings for the last 12 years

So what exactly did Pacman do at the PPV? Exchange words with Killings who was on the runway, and Killings tried to go at him, but the security tackled him and didn't touch him. But he did say that there was a lockerroom full of guys who would take him out. Later on, they cut backstage and Pacman's down and there's blood over one of his eyes, as someone attacked him, but they didn't know who. Then he's taken out of the arena in an ambulance to quite a few cheers and that was it for the night.

I laughed when the guys in the front row made it rain on him. If I didnt despise the Impact Zone fans, I would have marked.
But I like Pacman, and I like how they handled him, considering the situation they have to work around with him not being able to be touched.

I'm impressed that anyone at ESPN knows wrestling is choreographed in the first place. The only person with a brain that works there is Peter Gammons.

Hey, we got tested last week, and that was nothing a little penicillin won't clear up! ...wait, that's the Dodgers. Red Sox? Clean as a whistle, and no pituitary gland tumors in recent history!

It's funny that ESPN now acts like they have to lower themselves by talking about rasslin when back in the day they would air AWA, World Class, and GWF.

It's funny that ESPN now acts like they have to lower themselves by talking about rasslin when back in the day they would air AWA, World Class, and GWF. Well the honest truth, in the day and age of the sportcaster that need catchphrases, if it isnt main stream sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, PGA, WTA) then it gets a "why the hell are we showing this" attitude. 3 years ago NASCAR was shown in 30 second highlights. A crash and oh by the way a guy named Dale or Ricky won. Now that ESPN (and ABC) air NASCAR it gets featured on Sportscenter and shown front and center on the website. I am a huge sports fan, and of everything (women's sports included). I also have a degree in TV production and it pains me to watch Sportscenter now. From bowling to soccer to olympic sports, nothing that isnt mainstream enough gets a fair shake and honest coverage. Its almost juvenile. They showed wrestling in the past because it needed programming. Now they have the rights to every sport so it can make shows based on anything and have footage and an archive to compliment it. I watched Classic the other week, a sumo marathon. I learned about the ranks, the tournaments and everything. Yokozuna had more of a meaning to me than a former WWE champion and Akebono was more than that guy who fought the Big Show. It was narrarated by Larry Biel and was fun to watch one time around. Classic also shows bowling, American Gladiators, at one time old school roller derby, and a host of other shows and series that reflect what ESPN and its network were and should be about, covering a wide range of sports. I could go on and on about ESPN and my hatred for them, but if at one point they aired all these wrestling programs then so they have the right to reair them on classic? Or do you think the contract to air them was a lease of sorts?

An AP Article from ESPN.com ORLANDO, Fla. -- Adam "Pacman" Jones ended up surrounded by police Sunday night. This time they were actors trying to help the suspended cornerback, who had been allegedly "attacked." Pacman Jones made it to center ring in his pro wrestling debut, but was not allowed to wrestle because of his NFL contract. Not a finger was laid on Jones on-camera Sunday at the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling event, but several were awfully close. A wrestler rushed the stage after jawing with Jones, but four actors with police clothing tackled him just out of reach. Minutes later, the studio television screens flashed to Jones backstage, lying on the ground after being purportedly attacked. The Tennessee Titans got a court order prohibiting Jones from participating in any wrestling activity after he promised in a taped segment Thursday on TNA's weekly Spike TV show to appear. Jones, the team and TNA reached an agreement Friday allowing him to perform -- under extensive stipulation. He could not touch or be touched, grapple, shove, throw or have anything thrown at him by anyone working for or watching the show. The Titans did not immediately return phone messages late Sunday night. Jones didn't show until several hours into the event, emerging through a tunnel to laser lights and fireworks. The announcer called him the most controversial man in professional sports today, and Jones spurned his try for a handshake. Jones has been suspended from the NFL for the 2007 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy by being arrested six times. Police records for various incidents in Tennessee and Georgia show five different arrests for the former first-round draft pick. His sixth arrest came in June when he was booked by Las Vegas police in the most serious case. He is under indictment there on two felony counts of coercion stemming from a February fight at a strip club that left a bouncer, a former wrestler himself, paralyzed. Jones' in-ring appearance lasted about 10 minutes. He wore black trunks, a sweat shirt and shirt reading "Pacman" that featured characters from the video game. Some of the roughly 1,000 watching in the Universal Orlando broadcast studio booed, but others seemed to be on his side. Admission for them is free, but the pay-per-view event cost $29.99. TNA said it wouldn't immediately know how Jones' involvement affected sales. Jones paced the ring and scowled, then picked up the microphone. He said he always dreamed of wrestling when the announcer asked why he came. The interviewer seemed surprised by his short response, then asked what Jones' goal was. "To show the world that I am the best team player that ever lived," he said, repeating a statement from earlier this week. Jones turned around as wrestler Ron "The Truth" Killings appeared with a beef. The two jawed some from 20 yards apart. "You know what sickens me? You say something about being a team player? A team player? Allow me to welcome you to the snake pit," Killings said. "You see, Pacman, professional wrestling is not a team sport." Killings said in an expletive-marked tirade that several wrestlers were in line to take Jones down, and it was bad luck he couldn't fight. "You talk a lot, know what I'm saying," Jones said. "You talk a lot. But one thing about me, I don't talk the talk, I walk the walk." Killings then rushed to the ring before being tackled. "This ain't what you want anyway. You act like this is what you want but this ain't what you want," Jones said as Killings was led away by four "policemen." Jones strutted in the ring, then hopped out. There was no word from Jones after the video of police trying to help him. TNA said Jones would not speak with reporters, but might issue a statement later.
