Wait a second... a guy wearing a CM Punk T-shirt had no idea what he was talking about? No way, I refuse to believe it.... Also, if Bret owned TNA, and Undertaker wrestled there every week, I would watch IMPACT like it was my job I think the thread starter had the Punk shirt and the guy who knew everything about TNA was probably wearing a TNA shirt, you know. The one with Undertaker, Bret Hart and Jay Lethal. This post is pointless without a photoshop of Ralphus wearing this shirt.

The same type of people that insist that Owen Hart never died and it was all faked to get people to watch, right?
It's best not to argue with these people. Logic has no place in their arguement, only how loud you can speak. The louder they say it, the truer it is.
Bret Hart as owner is a more enviable picture, though. Maybe he just wanted to believe it so badly he got caught up in it all.

My favorite overheard bit at a WWF house show sometime right after Goldust debuted:
"That's supposed to be Dustin Rhodes, but I think they got someone else tonight. Don't look nothin' like him, plus they'd kill him here for that kinda gimmick. (NOTE: East Texas town)"

I think he was confusing TNA for WWA. I believe they had Bret Hart as commisioner or something? Maybe thats why he got confused.

Laugh at the old guy all you want, but here's the reality...that guy represents the majority of wrestling viewers. Sad but true.

My dad can be the same way. He still insists that there's no way that LOD 2000 was actually the real Hawk and Animal.

The elderly guy may have been thinking of WWA, but for some reason I doubt he ever heard of them before.
No comment on photoshopping Ralphus wearing my CM Punk shirt.

I stopped by a local convenient store this morning to get the paper when an older man noticed I was wearing a C.M. Punk shirt and started talking to me about wrestling. After 30 seconds of talk about SummerSlam we began talking about TNA. Oh boy... He begins by telling me that The Undertaker wrestles there every week. I corrected him by saying he was thinking about SmackDown on Fridays, but he was adament that Undertaker has been there for 6 months and has wrestled every week. Next he tells me about how Kevin Nash is doing a great job as General Manager of TNA. He was adament that Nash was running the show on tv. And finally the coup de grace, a review of the conversation would not give it justice. So instead I will write out the next (and last) portion of our conversation. The first quote was him, then me and then it keeps going in that order. "Do you know who owns TNA? "Yeah. Jeff Jarrett and Panda Energy." "No, the person who owns it now." "Jeff Jarrett and Panda Energy." "No, the guy who started TNA." "Jeff Jarrett and his father." "No, Bret Hart started TNA and still owns it today." It was at this point where I excused myself, paid for my purchases and got out of there quickly. I could only imagine what he'd tell me next. Wow. You got to meet Dutch Mantel?

Conversations like that i find funny.I once had a co-worker swear to me that the Ultimate Warrior and Kerry Von Erich were the same person,i asked him to explain Survivor Series '90 to me if that were the case.

I had a guy tell me one time that Kane had been playing Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th movies.

Rey Mysterio was Robert Englund's stunt double in Freddy VS. Jason, but that's the closest he's getting...

Someone was swore to me that Kane left WWE and is in TNA under the name Abyss.
I thought someone just told the guy something, but he continued on after I told him he was wrong saying "Come on man, take a look at them, they look exactly the same".

Reminds me of one kid, convinced Viscera and Rikishi were the same, even though the two fought numerous times.

I dunno if this shows how stupid he was, or how baddly TNA has had Abyss rip off kane (all the way down to the convoluted back story)
