I stopped by a local convenient store this morning to get the paper when an older man noticed I was wearing a C.M. Punk shirt and started talking to me about wrestling.
After 30 seconds of talk about SummerSlam we began talking about TNA. Oh boy...
He begins by telling me that The Undertaker wrestles there every week. I corrected him by saying he was thinking about SmackDown on Fridays, but he was adament that Undertaker has been there for 6 months and has wrestled every week.
Next he tells me about how Kevin Nash is doing a great job as General Manager of TNA. He was adament that Nash was running the show on tv.
And finally the coup de grace, a review of the conversation would not give it justice. So instead I will write out the next (and last) portion of our conversation. The first quote was him, then me and then it keeps going in that order.
"Do you know who owns TNA?
"Yeah. Jeff Jarrett and Panda Energy."
"No, the person who owns it now."
"Jeff Jarrett and Panda Energy."
"No, the guy who started TNA."
"Jeff Jarrett and his father."
"No, Bret Hart started TNA and still owns it today."
It was at this point where I excused myself, paid for my purchases and got out of there quickly. I could only imagine what he'd tell me next.
