A lot of people say that the 1992 Royal Rumble is the most starstudded ever...but in the 1990 Royal Rumble we had a lot of big names too... The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Rick Rude, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Perfect, Earthquake, The Hart Foundation, Ted Dibiase, Jake Roberts, The Rockers, Roddy Piper, Andre The Giant, Honky Tonk Man, Jimmy Snuka, and Demolition.
Now what do you guys think, is that a stacked rumble or what? Was 1992s Rumble still more loaded as far as name power?

Similar talent. 92 had Flair, while 90 had Andre (albeit washed up, but still a legend) 90 had Hart, Perfect (competing) Rhodes, and Rude, 92 had Sid, Bulldog, Kerry Von Erich and Undertaker.
1992 was more exciting though

1992 had Bulldog, Dibiase, Flair, Piper, Shawn Michaels, Jake The Snake, Kerry Von Erich, Hogan, Taker, Sid, Randy Savage, Greg Valentine, Snuka, Sgt Slaughter. I'm still missing a couple of big names. I'd say 1992 was more loaded.

Oh 1992 was definitely more exciting being that it was for the WWF Title... I really think WWE should do this again....it would bring a lot of excitement and unpredictability to the Royal Rumble.

I give the nod to 92, you couldn't book a better rumble with better talent. Will we ever see something that great again?

2007 was the most star studded Royal Rumble. Just ask the WWE. Yeah, Bob Holly competed twice that night He entered at no 17 and then again at no 22. Got eliminated both times by Great Khali.

Yeah, but 1992 is the only year that has Flair as the ultimate Rumble noob pwning all of the Royal vets.

Its Highly unlikely something like 1992 Rumble could be recreated for numerous reasons.
1. To Add Excitement/Unpredictability One of The World Titles Would have to be Vacated in some elaborate way. 2. Going from One this could alienate a Whole Brand if it was Done and Done in an incorrect fashion. 3. Cena would just overcome the odds anyway.

I've said many times that 1990 was far more star studded, but there seems to be an extreme bias with 1992 for some (<cough> Flair/Heenan <cough>) reason. Most of 1990's big named roster was still going strong at the time, whereas guys like El Matador, Slaughter, Von Erich, etc, in 1992 were jobbers during that event. I'd take 1990's RR roster over 1992 any day of the week.

Close call. 1992 had a lot of star power, but it had to be that way with the belt on the line. In 1990, there was nothing on the line but the boasting rights of winning the Rumble. That being said, I'll vote 1990 just because it wasn't as much of a necessity to have so many big names in the match.
On a side note, I've always hated the stipulation of the Rumble winner getting a title shot at Mania. It takes the surprise out of the match, since it's pretty much a given that it will be one of two or three guys. I preferred it when you could watch the Rumble, not knowing who would win.

Yeah, 92 gets waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more credit than it deserves. I never thought that maybe Savage would win, he was IC champ and World champ....so he could!!!! I thought it would be between Taker or Hogan, but still, there was a very limited number of guys that were possible winners. Even at 9 I knew that.
