The teaser video for the TNA Impact game was shown almost a year ago. With all the roster changes and gimmick changes there have been over that span of time, how out-of-date will the game be when it finally releases next year?

I understand that it's better to have a good game and wait.... But TNA is taking a ridiculous amount of time

Why the hell is it taking so long. I understand that it's better to have a good game and wait.... But TNA is taking a ridiculous amount of time I remember there were talks of a TNA game nearly five years ago. There's an old IGN interview with D'Lo Brown from 2003, and he talks about the possibility of a game. |

I dont think that much, probably just about the same as the yearly smackdown.
The roster hasnt been anounced yet so most layoffs will likley be delt with in the game before the anounce and there arent that much radical gimick changes, other than Black Machismo I cant think of a radical pysical change, many guys change atire types but thats easy to deal with and not that noticeable if not...

I'd seriously doubt the rosters are even finalized yet. I'm not expecting them to have a big stupid voice acted story mode, so they probably don't need to set a roster in stone nearly as far in advance as THQ does.

Ohhh and I guess its taking so long because its the first game, its not the same to update a game yearly than to create a good one from scratch.

I'm hoping for multiple entrance theme options. I want AJ Styles' and LAX's old themes, and hopefully Kurt Angle's instrumental version without the lyrics that don't fit him or his personality at all.

Also if I recall, they REALLY didn't even start working on it until sometime in mid-2006. Before then it was just announced that Midway had the license, and Joe/AJ were "brainstorming" with them...
It's scheduled to come out in Spring 2008.

Only way I'd buy that game is if it is good, obviously, but also features Tiger Mask IV, since he did make an appearance or two. At least have a way of making him.

Hopefully Midway will be smart enough to rip off AKI's wrestling engine from WCW Revenge, WWF WrestleMania 2000 & No Mercy (the best wrestling games ever).

Just like in SVR, it'll come with default champions, here's the list:
NWA World Champion: Ken Shamrock
NWA Tag Champions: Brian Lee and Slash
X-Division Champion: Sonny Siaki
There will also be some unlockable characters including: Mikey Batts, Jerrelle Clark, and Malice
