ROH To Get Shot At TV Deal?

This is shaky news at best, but with Mike Johnson saying the company was in NY negotiating a deal that would give them more exposure over the next year, this could be legit. From the ROH Board:

I heard that ROH is going to be on VS network for an 18 show pilot. Now this isnt offical as ROH hasnt announced it yet, but if this is true let me be the first to say Congrats ROH. My friend who runs a NWA company told me. He doesn't like ROH but he said he was happy because it can only help the biz. He has friends that work at the network and told him.

The guy who posted this is a solid board member and not the trolling type. So if this is true ... wow.

Where is the VS network? Can people in NY watch it? Or is it just one of those channels like only the South can get or something?

It's certainly possible. I can't really shoot it down or confirm it, but ROH has been an underground sensation, to say the least. Wouldn't be shocked if it was at least thrown out as a possibility.

Vs. must be begging for some competition against its own shows to see which sports-themed programming (NHL, 3rd rate MMA/kickboxing, etc.) will get the lowest ratings possible.

I think ROH would do alright. They already have a rabid fanbase, and a rapidly building credibility with fans.

I think they mean one where they would be required to change their product. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just a show with DVD matches with some continuity.

Wasn't Versus the network that was interested in CZW as well? I remember reading about that about a month or so ago.

Vs would be a good spot for them.

Let them go on right after Tapout and the WEC shows.

Really I am enjoying VS for Tapout. That's one reallity show I like.

Yeah, if they do get on VS, I hope they dont change, and the shows will still be on DVD

Oh and it's not 3rd rate MMA, WEC is home to some of the best "small" fighters. The way I see it is they'll air "best ofs" and some stuff from house shows. The Production values have risen a lot in ROH i'd like to see it improve even more.
