Seriously. I've been watching a few of his most recent 'moments' on YouTube and it's quite sad to see. Is it an act or has he lost it?

From what can be pieced together, his declining mental state is a combination of long term drug abuse, the wrestling lifestyle, his daughter's murder, his deteriorating health, etc.

It IS an act to a certain extent.
He always bashes Hogan, and calls him gay. But at the infamous show where he confronted Warrior, people saw Hogan and Sheik acting friendly, shaking hands and even taking a picture together.
The guy who runs Sheik's website claimed that Hogan is smart enough to know that Sheik is 'in character' during these episodes, and that this is how he makes his living now. He said that Warrior should understand this as well, and have shaken Sheiks hand when he offered it.
On the other hand, he says things that really aren't appropriate, even if you are 'in character.' Him calling the Macho Man a "cheap Jew" on Howard Stern isn't appropraite regardless of the circumstances.
Well it's not appropriate over here, anyway. In Iran, I'm sure it goes over just fine.

Given Foley's outlook on the guy, he's always been a nut. His badmouthing people then being friendly is nothing new, it's just how he is.

Just the fact that he's cool one minute then goes into character and is all "f*** YOU IN ASS, LITTLE GAY LITTLE MAN!!!!" makes me think he's cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. It usually takes time for wrestler's to get into character and anyone who can snap ina nd out at the drop of a hat makes me question their hold on reality. [But, then again, he does have a long list of excuses.]

I really hope he takes WWE up on their offer to help former employees.

The Sheik's a train wreck. He made $15 Million in his career & doesn't have a dime of it.I heard he lives in a run down apartment. For many years he was illiterate.Couldn't read or write & his ex-wife took most of the money that wasn't going up his nose! I heard this story someone heard from Marty Janetty.A couple groupies were trying to hook up with him & Shawn Michaels.Marty had his eye on this one girl whose friend was hitting on him as well.So he had the Sheik distract the friend while he took the other girl up to his room. Later Marty came back downstairs to see the girl he left with the Sheik being taken away in an ambulance & police were looking for the sheik. So Janetty goes to the Sheik's room & asks him what happened. The Sheik "I take her to my room,I buy her drinks,I giver cocaine but she no f*** Sheik! So I give her clothesline but she no good worker & didn't move!"

I actually think he's perfectly fine. I remember reading about a shoot where he was perfectly normal. When asked about it he said "This is what you wanted, it's what they want, I'm giving it to them."

They ask him why he's different in all the other shoots and interviews he does, and his response was something like "This is what you wanted. That is what they wanted."

Yeah its all an act. And most of the stories is back in the 80s when he was wacked out on drugs. Everyone has that one friend who is totally crazy and drugged out doing crazy stuff... Then you realize after a few years you gotta stop hanging around that guy!

Ya people ask him to act that way, I've seen him on a show, and before his part he was calmly sitting there writing a few things down and joking with the crew. Then when they get to him he goes off on a huge tirade, then after shakes a couple peoples hands and calmly leaves.

Yup I remember hearing about that very interview when I went on a "Sheik is teh crazy" rant around these parts a couple months back. Couldnt get a link to the interview then either tho. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)
