Gerweck.net
I called it in the thread last night!
Senshi shouted "What's up!" at the crowd and they responded. Therefore:

Well, on the positive side, they are consistent with their ratings for the most part.

Well, on the positive side, they are consistent with their ratings for the most part. It ain't a positive thing if the ratings are consistently awful. But they aren't awful compared to most other cable shows. put against even the WWE's low ratings of course they are lacking..but put them against most shows on cable they are actually pretty good.

Interesting note: The average quarterly ratings for Spike TV in general is 1.1, so TNA fits right in. USA, the #1 cable network had an average quarterly rating of 2.2. P.S. and an Uninteresting note, Tila Tequilas MTV show pulled in 1.8 million viewers, and that make me a sad panda.

If anything a 1.1 average over 2 hours is a good number because it means that you kept your audience for twice as long rather than losing a bunch of them halfway. So it's pretty positive all around

It ain't a positive thing if the ratings are consistently awful. How is 1.1 awful? It isn't. 1.4 Mill is about what The Daily Show gets I think.

Battlestar galactica was getting 1.1s at the end of season 3 and it got renewed . And that costs way more than impact ever will ($3 million per episode).
TNA gets good ratings, AND it's cheap programming. Which is probably why spike are behind it.

In a time when the WWE is experiencing a downward slide in ratings across the board, solidly staying in the 1.0 range is a good thing.

I agree w/the above. consistant ratings is better than a sliding rating. Also I know it may be a moot point but DVR's don't give ratings (I don't think I might be wrong) Thurday is a big night for TV. Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, ER these are ratings juggernaughts (SP) I have to DVR Impact on Sat due to Grey's Anatomy and ER and I'm a huge TNA mark

WWE has Heroes and MNF tho. So, yea.

In truth, steady ratings are better than none.
In reality, people keep expecting TNA to somehow draw twice of Spike's average viewing audience.
now let's just wait for the quarter hour reports and see how many viewers they got when.

That is why the early overnight ratings usually grow by the time the official ratings come out.
