Anyone else watch tonight's Ultimate Fighter, the fight between Barrera and Saunders??? Terrible judging. Dana was pissed and gave both fighters the $5,000 bonus.
[Went back 10 pages and didn't see a TUF 6 Discussion Thread so I started this.]

The first round was clearly 10-9 for Barrera and the second was easily 10-9 for Saunders. Both fighters' corner men, the fighters, even Herb Dean the ref for a little while was ready for a 3rd sudden death round until he was informed there was a winner. I guess 2 of the judges gave Saunders the first round, maybe even 10-8 in favor of Saunders. Dana says "I don't want to say anything about the judging, but that was f'ing pathetic judging."

You could make a case for 10-8 in the second round, but not the first. Barrera did run quite a bit in that round, but I thought the Ref is the one that deducts points for that.

The running around the ring and the whole laying down on the mat for 2 minutes and kicking at each other I think is what sealed Barrera's fate. with out a doubt you will see him back in the UFC.

2 of the judges scored the 1st 10-9 Saunders, not 10-8. Personally, I saw the fight as 19-18 Saunders, cuz he totally dominated Barrera in the 2nd round.

I thought Saunders won the fight, but I just like seeing Hughes get beat cause he is such a tool. Hughes after the fights is the reason I will pick up this season on DVD. I love angry Hughes. |

It was two wannabes that wouldn't man up and go for a finish. I love how guys who've most likely never stepped into a ring or an octagon have the balls to get online and say "oh this guy is a pussy" or "that guy should've done this". Saying someone wouldn't man up is a bunch of s*** because YOU my friend haven't manned up. I don't see you in a fight anywhere except on the internet or in video games. You honestly remind me of Marc Laimon from Season Four. Until you've stepped into a ring and or octagon why don't you attempt to refrain from calling guys who go out there and slug it out wannabe's and saying they don't have what it takes. As far as the fight goes I didn't see much of it. I thought it should have been ended when Dan got cut as bad as he did. Of course the same ref didn't stop the WEC fight between Chase BeeBe and Eddie Wineland (That was a good fight and Wineland got cut really bad so that it looked as if his ear was hanging off. |

I don't need to step in a cage to fight. I man up everywhere. And those guys were too scared to finish the fight and thats a fact. They got in some nice kicks and punchs but no follow up. Thats why they aren't going to go past free TV shows on Spike. |
