Jesus, that's like... huge!
Is this a sign that we're getting Joe vs Misawa over there or something, especially with Joe using his own move on him (even if he has used it many a time before).

What's the betting NOAH books Joe better in a matter of months than TNA has in all the time he's been there?

Odds are it wont happen because NOAH's booking is pretty awful.
And yeah. Joe v Misawa 10-27.

when do people start complaining that the match was a minute shorter than kurt and joe (which went way to short if you listen to all the complaints)?

Ehh... sounds like it was just a sprint tag match with a bunch of hard hitters. If the singles match goes that short, I'll be annoyed, but it sounds like did its job of making Joe look like a killer.

This match probably wasn't hyped as promising to be the greatest match in NOAH's entire history. Also, it probably ended right around the time it was supposed to, unlike Joe/Kurt which ended way early.

And I think KEJB (and anyone who follows Japan) will agree when I say the best promotion in terms of quality is Zero1 Max.

As far as public standing goes, NOAH is pretty much #1, but since Kobashi got diagnosed the company has been suffering BADLY.

Well yeah. Look at NOAH's roster. Misawa, Kobashi, Akiyama, Taue, Takayama. They have the biggest stars in Japan. That's why they get more publicity. Like Ultramantis said, NJPW is the number 1 promotion right now. They draw more fans than NOAH. Also, yes Z1MAX has had the best wrestling cards in 07, but the last month or two in NJPW have been awesome. I wouldnt be surprised if the best wrestling top to bottom in 08, is coming from them.

OMG Misawa actually put Joe over in a match?
Wow, that's amazing
yeah New Japan is pretty much top dog because of doing great business.
NOAh is just number one around the smarks. NOAH can draw the biggest names though because they had some of the biggest names.
Takayama almost always instigates sell outs
Zero-1 has put on the best matches this year whether it be tag, hardcore, fatal fourways, or straight up singles matches they bring the quality.

It's one thing that Joe beat Misawa.
It's quite another that he beat him using HIS MOVE!
Tremendous.

HOLY CRAP, I never expected that. Anyone pinning Misawa is damn near unheard of.
Ah, just remembered an old thread of "ways that all of Japan jobs to Misawa"...

Maybe just maybe the folks at NOAH used thier Brain for once. Think of it Joe beats Misawa in the upset of the Year. One month later Kobashi returns and challenges Joe. Most of Japan will be watching cause it is Kobashis return. While the rest of the world will be watching cause it's Joe/Kobashi 2. Of course Kobashi would defeatd Joe. But it would still be awesome.

You are definitely overrating Joe's status as a big Name draw.
I'd say that they did this to build drama to the 10/27 match.
Unless Joe's TNa contract as run out. I don't see him doing much in noah after this match.
NOAH needs to create a homegrown native star purely grown from NOAh, that would be Morishima or Rikio.

For those who wonder what's the difference in numbers between NOAH and NJPW, a little comparison:
- on the day with Joe/Takayama vs Misawa/Morishima as the main-event, NOAH drew 1200 fans; - on the same day, with the main-event being Hiroshi Tanahashi/Koji Kanemoto vs Jado/Gedo in the G-1 Tag League, NJPW drew 1350 fans.
They are pretty much equal, but sure as hell New Japan had less "big name" wrestlers on the main-event.
