I don't see how four minutes of flipping about is better than WWE ppvs. If this match happened in WWE people would shit all over it.

Did you see Yoshitsume going crazy or you clicked in another match by accident? It´s was an exageration but a 4 minute match that actually tells a story and is entertaining is something great in my book.

I watched the whole thing, it was only four minutes after all and I have a good attention span. I know what I watched and I've seen it before. Flipping around doesn't tell a story, perhaps I'm different from you.

That was pretty cool. If WWE added a proper Cruiserweight division, and had a match like that on every pay-per-view, I'd be happy. I think that would be a happy medium.

Yes, screw Yoshitsume trying to defend his turf from the japanese wrestling old guard, making reference of the "Tales of Yoshitsume and Benkei", drawing a swords and jumping right over Liger, screw Liger getting pissed and hitting all his finishers in sequence and Yoshitsume barely kicking out of them, screw Yoshitsume outperfoming an Old, battered down Wrestling master that is Liger.
All I saw was flips.
My hole point in the video is that you don´t need a long cruiserweight match to tell a history. All you need is the right script.

I still refer to this guy as Hustle Ranger REd.
that was the most intense 4 minute match i've watched, seeing Liger get so pissed is awesome.
I must watch this Masked Man Tournament where Atlantis is booked to wrestle like a monster.

Meh, each to their own, but for me, this was just a 3 minute match with spot after spot and a few nearfalls. About as good as you can hope for in three minutes, but not my thing.

That was the first match I've seen since Diesel/Bob Backlund that didn't feature a punch.
If you had replaced the Japanese commentary with Tony Schiavone asking abou the nWo's latest dastardly deeds, that would've filled 4 minutes on Nitro in 1998 with ease.

I'm coming down on the 'this is awesome' side of the debate. Great intensity from both of them and the match was just as good in three minutes as it would have been at twenty minutes.

Yes, too bad you don't get ANY of that told within the context of the match by itself, unless you're fluent in Japanese (had NO clue what the Japanese commentators were talking about). The storytelling is completely lost on anyone not already following the feud between Yoshi tsune (not typing around the filters as the word is not a profanity) and Liger or unfamiliar with the Japanese language and folklore. Not that it wasn't an entertaining match, but without the context and background to go with it, it's just two guys in costumes (yes, I know who Liger is, very much aware of him and I like him quite a bit), putting on a 3 minute spotfest.

I don't see the problem with spotfests. The last time I checked, the purpose to watch wrestling was to be entertained, and that was pretty damn entertaining. More entertaining than most anything on tv in the states this year.

Did somebody say... FOUR MINUTES?![/Bischoff]
I liked it. It's nice to see a wee spotfest now & again.
