First off, it may be said on the Horsemen DVD, I don't know. Don't own it. I do own tapes and tapes and tapes dating back to the early 80's with Blanchard matches all over them. And Roma's no Blanchard. And as for my Pretty Wonderful observations, again, tapes and tapes and tapes. Don't bring age into this. That has no bearing on the matter. Thank you for basing my knowledge of the business on my relatively young age, though. Because if I was born before 87, I've never heard of or seen anything from that era. ...tapes and tapes and tapes... so you are trying to tell me you personally watched the team of Pretty Wonderful compete and you witness Paul Orndorff carry Paul Roma. It seems like you are making it up. I mean you are trying to tell me you have weeks and weeks of mid 90's WCW footage. I don't think so. I think you are ragging on Roma for no reason. I think you have no idea what you are talking about. All I see you spewing is WWE DVD and Wrestlecrap rhetoric. I think it is pretty clear from your responses that you don't really have much to back your statements up. I mean you fail to mention that Roma also won the tag titles with Arn Anderson. You don't mention the awesome matches Pretty Wonderful had with Bagwell/Scorpio and Bagwell/Patriot. I mean you really say a whole lot of nothing. All you can say is what the WWE dvd's and RD seem to say...nothing original...

It's not even like Arn Anderson or Paul Orndorf wrestled those tag matches as singles matches.
For a tag team like that to work it takes both guys to work hard, and they did.

All you can say is what the WWE dvd's and RD seem to say...nothing original... Actually, I do have weeks and weeks worth of Saturday Night Footage. And to add to your litany, I can also tell you that Pretty Wonderful won the tag team titles in a match against Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan in a clusterf*** of a match(admittedly not Roma's fault, as Foley was obviously working injured and it didn't seem like any of the guys were up to scratch). See, I can quote match results, too, does that make me better in your eyes? And again, I own no WWE DVDs that make any mention of Paul Roma, so your accusations there are completely baseless. Why can't you get that this is opinion. In yours, Roma is great, fine. In mine, he's shit. No one's right. Christ.

Last time I'm going to say it, since it's possible we posted at the same time: Be civil and respectful towards another.

Why can't you get that this is opinion. In yours, Roma is great, fine. In mine, he's crap. No one's right. Christ. It is not opinion. For some reason internet fans think wrestlers ability is opinion. It is not. For instance, internet fans like to rag on Jim Duggan. They are just plain wrong. Duggan is still over in 2007. He was over in 1992 and was over even more in the 80's. Saying Duggan couldn't work is foolish. It shows people don't really understand what "working" is.

So you're basically saying that the question "what is your opinion on (insert wrestler name here)" does not pertain to ability?

If it was fact, then there would be no Roma hate at all. Different people like different things. I don't particularly enjoy Hacksaw, you obviously do, but that's a debate for another day and a whole other thread. We're having this argument about Paul freakin' Roma. For god's sake. when have two people ever had an argument about Roma? This is ridiculous. I'm done. If you want to call it a victory, feel free, I'm tired of dealing with it, now please let this thread die.

He was great looking, had a great body, and women loved him. He was in real life what Ric Flair has pretended to be his entire career. The Flair fanboys (of which there are tons) just can't stand that, so they throw out blind hatred.
It wasn't Roma's fault the 1993 version of the 4 Horsemen failed. It was Ric Flair and Arn Anderson's fault for doing THE SAME DAMN THING for the past 8 years. (excluding their WWF stays) They were stale, they were predictable, they were boring.
Paul Roma is a scapegoat.
And Power & Glory were simply awesome, and the Powerplex was one of the top-5 moves in pro wrestling at the time.
