Taz. They way they built him as the unstoppable monster was great.

Taz. They way they built him as the unstoppable monster was great. That was some great booking. I mean, Taz isn't that big. He looks like a regular, but when he was in ECW, he looked like he could beat the living shit out of anyone, even guys bigger than him.

I love...almost all of those guys, but if it came down to Raven, Shane, and Taz, I went with Taz. There was a man who legitimately looked like he could destroy you, and did it without any flunkies. Christ, he choked out Tajiri with BARBED WIRE WRAPPED IN HIS MOUTH!! I loved that. Them going wide, with Joey yelling about the "selfish sonofabitch is going to get us thrown of the air", it was a really well done moment.

8 votes for Taz but none for Tazz?! The reason I put people more than once is because some reigns might be more memorable than others and some people may like one reign over another.

I agree that it should come down between Douglas and Raven. But for my money, Douglas is THE ECW Champion. He made that belt, as has been said already. People may come down hard on Douglas in his post-ECW days (and justifiably so on a lot of those occasions), but since the 1980s I can't think of a Champion whose name I associate with a belt any more than I do with the ECW Title and Douglas. (Honorable Mention to Joe and definitely Danielson and the ROH Title.)

I made a tournament of this a year ago, and Raven won.

Gotta go with Raven for the aforementioned reasons.

When I first think of ECW Champion, I think of Shane Douglas. But asking who the best was? Hands down Raven. IMO, the man is a genius. Everything he did was amazing.

Somehow I never realized Raven only had one reign, that seems weird to me. But I don't know, yeah, gotta go with him. It was gonna be him or Taz.

I voted Masato Tanaka, simply because everyone else I would've voted for already has plenty of votes. And plus, Tanaka was awesome times ten.

Had to vote Raven, just because he is one of the greats in my opinion. Plus he was just evil in ECW. Close second though would be Justin Credible.

As good as the Franchise was in ECW, I gotta give the nod to Raven... His reign made me a fan.

It was a toss up between Raven and Shane, but I went with the Franchise.
My favorite moments in ECW were when Raven and the Franchise interacted with each other

For me it was without question Taz- the ECW World title was never held up on a higher pedastal than when he had it.

I went with Big Show. Wooh woooh whoo don't throw things at me just give me a second. After the RVD/Sabu 420 car ride the belt still needed to be elivated in status. Show took on the ECW roster and all the big guys from both DS and Raw. Every main event was promoted like a PPV event and were (with the exception of the Batista match) good and entertaining main events that raised the status of the belt
