Read the text under the picture in my sig. I've been a fan of the man since early 2K5! He's all the great things that better writers than me have said earlier in this thread.

Yes, I think he's one of the top 5 in the indies right now.

HEYYY!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favourite guys on the indies, if not my favourite. What sucks is the Kings of Wrestling won't come back as a full time team that could be on the same page (I know he's technically with them in Chikara, but I just saw the Ciberneteco and that's all I'll say there). But yeah, love Claudio.

He is Awesome. He can go most styles of wrestling. His most amazing performances are agianst smaller lighter wrestler. Sydal is an good example here. The way he throws him around is really impressing.

You're going to have a hard time finding someone badmouthing the Most Money Making Man. The Kings of Wrestling were too beautiful for this world to last long, and for God's sakes, the man can GO. He gives off the impression that he can literally wrestle anyone and make it look great.
And yes, I miss the ponytail.

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I love Claudio. He's great in the ring, he's funny, he's handsome, he apparently smells good, and I like his accent. What isn't to like?

He really needs that outrageous musctache and 'middle aged banker trying to look young' ponytail to complete his character, for me. I'm not trying to be clever ... he just doesn't look right without them. Aside from that, what can one say about him? He's almost too good to be in the indies. And there are a TON of guys I love in the indy circuit, and in ROH in particular, that I could never see in WWE or another major company in the future. Danielson, Sweeney, Akuma, Quack ... I could go on for a whole paragraph. But Castagnoli LOOKS like a guy that could, and SHOULD, be making millions of dollars. He doesn't have a disgusting, jacked-up appearance that whoever in charge of hiring in WWE seems to prefer, yeah (a look I really hate, as an aside). But otherwise? Tall and fit (so he has a 'larger than life' presence), he has an interesting way of speaking (from his accent and the fact that English seems to be a second language, but he's still very understandable), he's EXTREMELY mobile, excellent chain wrestler and a great brawler. Total package individual. I'm proud to be a fan of his, because he's everything a great wrestler should aspire to be. And he's only improving with time, too. That might sound a bit strong, but that's how I feel about it. Agreed entirely. Claudio is IMO the best on the indy scene right now, and, though not my all-time fav, he is certainly my favourite current wrestler. He can make a little guy look solid gold, can put on excellent matches with men of any size, can wrestle ANY style- technical, brawler, power, WWE-showmanship, lucha - very well, his promos are constantly improving, and he has a lot of charisma. The man should be in WWE challenging for the IC or US Title by now.

I'd say he's very good. I saw his first match live in ROH in July 2005 against Nigel McGuinness and turned out a good performance. I liked their feud over the Pure Title and his tag team with Chris Hero.

Claudio is one of the reasons that being a fan of wrestling will always be cool.
