Tomko very slowly got over. It's funny. There was zero reaction from the crowd when he debuted. Gradually he started get more and more reactions from crowds until one day I just kind of realized, "Holy crap! Tomko is over!" At the TNA house show in Syracuse there were a lot of Tomko shirts being sold and worn. My friend has one. Tomko? T-shirt? What does it look like? It''s red with his black tattoos on it.

Just sort of gradually grew on me. In WWE he was "just another hoss" along the lines of Snitsky & Heidenreich (I remember him botching the Big Boot in his first on-screen appearance ). In TNA, I wasn't too sure about him initially (especially with the usual Mike Tenay introduction of "We know who THIS guy is..."), but his time in Japan his really done him a world of good. He's stepped up his acting AND his ring-work to a degree that's actually respectable. It was just that one day he became extremely entertaining & I found myself saying "EGADS! I actually LIKE Tomko!"

I think Tomko has reached the point where he's no longer just a "former WWE guy" and has broken through to make a name for himself. He's almost like Gail Kim in that respect.

Since I don't watch PPVs, I voted that he has developed over time. TNA made a wise investment by picking him up.
Christian Cage, Jeff Hardy (when he was there), Kurt Angle (although I wish he would stop mentioning his former titles), Ron Killings, Kevin Nash, Raven (yeah right, as if WWE actually used him), Steiner Brothers, Jackie Moore, Christy Hemme (and her new flexible spine), Jerry Lynn (see Raven), & Bob Backlund.
Now that I look at this great list, the term "WWE reject" only seems to apply to a handful of hacks. Fatu, Test, Runt, Bashams, and some others who I can't think of.

Runt was actually pretty decent when they used him (Monster's Ball 3, for example). But the other members of Team 3D are becoming increasingly redundant. Brother Ray seems so out of shape it's not funny; Brother Devon, in contrast, actually seems more energised. They've also got Black Reign on the list as a WWE Reject as well as Matt Morgan (though he still hasn't done much, so I don't really count him). The Heart Throbs/ Heart Breakers were there for one night. Kaz, though he's actually good. They've been negotiating with Joey Mercury/Matthews. Not a good idea given his chequered past. Yes, he was the more talented member of MNM, but he could NOT have got over without Johnny Nitro! Whatever role you have planned for Matthews... give it to James Storm or HOYT instead... PLEASE!

Considering Johnny got no heat until Joey returned, Joey could've easily gotten over on his own.. Especially after the Hardys injured him Plus ol male Ashley with a tramp stamp is never going to be pushed, Storm's gimmick is the best one running in TNA right now. Oh and my answer is with Bernard, cause anything next to A-Train is pure gold.

I think that MNM are better served as a unit. Greater than the sum of their parts, eeeff yeewww weeeeelllll. Matthews needs Nitro & vice versa. I know that HOYT will probably never be pushed now. I just keep hoping. After he tore the house down in matches with Abyss & even Bobby Roode a few years ago (when HOYTAMANIA was Runnin' Wild), I just keep holding out hope. But TNA were rather fearful to capitalize on the fanbase they cultivated for the big guy...

Tomko won me over. He really has improved a lot in the ring and as a character.
I wish TNA would push Lance Hoyt more too.

I wouldn't consider Kazarian a WWE reject, as he was already a TNA star before spending about a month on the WWE roster.

Kaz is hardly a WWE reject, most fans wouldn't be able to identify him in a police lineup.

For me it was his time in Japan. I didn't even see any of his matches but it was all the great word of mouth I kept hearing. Then when he showed up in TNA he was better than I remember. Alot better.

After he left NJPW and returned state side.
He is an excellent example that ANY big man can learn to wrestle if given enough time and work.
