TNA had pole matches? Must have been a while back, I've never seen one.

Wow, honestly, I've never seen a '___ on a pole match' outside of WCW. Thanks for the responses, guys. But has ECW ever stooped to a '___ on a pole match'? How about TNA? I've been thinking about it...I don't remember any ECW pole matches. I do remember them doing a flag match...but never a pole match.

TNA had that stupid on a pole match for some cage match with Abyss where like you got to keep which weapons you got down from the pole. There was a straightjacket, boltcutters and other random things. I thought that was a pretty good idea, but the problem comes when you have to wonder: is the other guy allowed to use the chair if he wasn't the one who got it down? Same problem in every pole match. actually the way they worked it was pretty good in my opinion. christian won the chairs, but that didn't mean he was the only one that could use them. they had the slot in the cage door and whenever you want one of the things you won in the pole match you call for the ref and the ref makes sure to only hand them to the one who won them. therefore when christian won the chairs in the pole match, it wasn't that he won the right to use them, as they both could, rather what he won was the right to have them handed to him when he was ready. he got to call when they came into play and he was the first to control them. which in my mind is a pretty distinct advantage. i think that was my favorite poll match, because in my eyes it worked well with the story and set up for the cage match excellently.

Oh, well ,that makes more sense. I did see the match, and the pole match where they got the weapons, but I had forgotten.

But it was a match that ended when all the stuff was taken from the poles. No winner, no loser. Just guys with stuff that they can use at a later match.

I remember that everybody was confused and angry as to why the match ended without a winner. The cage match itself was really good though.

It'd make no sense.
