I've yet to go to a wrestling show despite following the industry (on and off) since 1995. Now, I have a chance to finally check out my first show, and I've realized it can be either ROH or OVW. While they aren't on the same day, of course, I still only have the money/means to check out one before the end of the year. I don't know much about ROH but two of my favorite current wrestlers (Joe and Punk, of course) have come from there, and I've been meaning to check it out. I really like Colt Cabana, but I don't know anyone else on the OVW roster. So which would be a better fit for me?
I have some supplementary questions that will help me pick which one to find people to take to:
1) Which would be better for someone who is interested in the spectacle/possible absurdity of a wrestling show?
2) Which would be better for someone who knows nothing about wrestling?
3) Which would be better for someone who thinks wrestling is idiotic? (I understand that there is an obvious answer to this one)
Either way, I am really excited about finally seeing a pro wrestling match for the first time in my life!
