eccw.com/events/20071116.phpYou owe it to yourself to go to this show. It's for charity, and I guarantee, from experience, NO MATCH ON THIS CARD WILL BE EVEN CLOSE TO MEDIOCRE. This will be a stellar night of wrestling, and you should literally slap yourself if you DON'T go. Plus, you can meet me, and who DOESN'T want that? Go, or your soul is forfeited to the devils of sports entertainment.

Wow, wrestling in Maple Ridge. First Carlito is coming out here and now this. ECCW runs every couple of weeks in Surrey and Vancouver, as well. They're a damn good place to kill 3 hours. And Scotty Mac should be in WWE, he's just that damn good. Danielson and Scotty is going to be at least 4 stars, believe me.

Maple Ridge is a ways away (I'm in South Burnaby) but that is tempting, with Dragon there. Hmm.

What's with Maple Ridge (aka: The boonies) getting all this Wrestling lately? By wrestling, I mean Carlito and this show.
I'd actually be interested in going to this show if I could get over there. Sadly, I can't. You can't get to Maple Ridge via transit.
Good ole Scotty Mac. Seems like yesterday I'd talk wrestling with him at the King George Highway Boston Pizza, where he waited, and where my friends and I lived.

You can take the West Coast Express dude. It'd take you an hour to get there, but I was thinking of doing as much.

ECCW Returns to Maple Ridge, Friday, November 16! Ever since the 2007 Pacific Cup, which is now on DVD, ECCW has been on a steady climb upwards! People like Kyle O’Reily have risen to a new peak, and ECCW fans have been treated to classic matches such as “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Aaron Idol, among many others. This show, in Maple Ridge, at Westview Secondary School, will be no different. Many talented superstars will clash, in a night that no ECCW fan will be able to forget! Purchase your tickets now!
“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson VS. Scotty Mac
For months, Scotty Mac and the rest of Chilltown, Azeem “The Dream” and DK Roc, have made their presence be felt in ECCW. They were the force behind such atrocious misdeeds, for instance, concussing the ECCW Champion, Aaron Idol. But now he has a new challenge. He is referred to as one of the best wrestlers in the world, if not the best, he is the multiple time world Champion, he is “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson! Will Danielson be able to achieve victory, or will Chilltown once again pull out a victory? Find out, November 16th, in Maple Ridge!
NWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship Match Cole Bishop (Champion) VS. Kurt Sterling (Challenger)
It all started more than a year ago. The team of Cole Bishop and Kurt Sterling, under the name of Hot and Bothered, were quickly rising up the Tag Team ranks. But, Goregous Michelle Starr was soon to change all of that. He challenged Cole Bishop to defend his tag team partner, under the stipulation, that if Cole Bishop were to lose the match, he would lose the aid of his partner, Kurt, to the underhanded Michelle Starr. Cole Bishop eventually defeated Michelle Starr in a Loser Leaves ECCW match, but not before the damage had been done.
After a long, bloody brawl, Cole Bishop had finally pinned Starr. Finally, it was over. Yet, the end would not come that easily. When Bishop tried to hug Kurt Sterling in celebration, Kurt pushed Bishop away. When Starr had finally revealed that his plan to break up Hot and Bothered by making Kurt Sterling homophobic, the damage had already been done. Cole Bishop and Kurt Sterling quickly came to blows.
Sterling quicky disappeared from ECCW completely. Cole Bishop went on to feud with Fast Freddy Funk, in a series of matches, most of which ended in disqualifications. Cole Bishop was losing his chance of gaining the NWA Canadian Heavyweight Title, and quckly. In what was considered to be a final match between the two, Michelle Starr returned, and attacked both men, ending the match in yet another disqualification. Cole Bishop’s goal of holding the NWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship was finally realized when, in a Triple Threat match in Surrey, British Columbia, Cole Bishop pinned Fast Freddy Funk to win the Canadian Heavyweight gold.
Fast forward now, to October 26, 2007. Cole Bishop was scheduled to wrestle another Triple Threat. This time, it would be Cole Bishop defending his NWA Canadian Heavyweight Title against “Rocket” Randy Tyler and Kurt Sterling. The match started off as if Hot and Bothered were old friends, double teaming Randy Tyler. But, before long, Cole Bishop and Kurt Sterling opened old wounds, attacking each other. Cole Bishop managed to retain his title, however, “The Rocket” and Kurt Sterling revealed their alliance, forming “The BBC!” Now, November 16th, these two friends turned enemies will finally fight, 1 on 1, for the NWA Canadian Heavyweight Title!
NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship: Match 1 Out of 5 Ice VS. Kyle O’Reily
This heated rivalry started, shortly before the ECCW Pacific Cup of 2007. Kyle O’Reily, Ice, Disco Fury, Sid Sylum, Azeem The Dream and the debuting Mike Santiago faced off in a match to decide who would get entry into the prestigious Pacific Cup tournament. Kyle O’Reily won the match, pinning Ice. Ice raised Kyle’s hand in victory, but shortly superkicked him afterwards! Ice began to rant about how nobody cared about him being injured, they just wanted his NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight title!
Then, the Pacific Cup itself. The now bitter Ice refused to show, and Kyle O’Reily went on to win it, propelling Kyle throughout the ranks of ECCW’s Junior Heavyweight division. Finally, Kyle got his shot, July 21st, after Ice challenged Kyle to a match directly after Kyle had wrestled an amazing wrestling clinic with fellow Junior Heavyweight, Brilliant Billy Suede. Kyle O’Reily, through pure adrenaline, pinned the NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight champion! However, this was not to stay. Ice snuck into a number one contenders match, pinning Billy Suede after Suede battled past multiple opponents, namely, the insidious Azeem “The Dream” and Sid Sylum. Later that night, Ice managed to defeat Kyle in a match, regaining the NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight belt.
In one more match, Kyle and Ice faced off. A fantastic match, between two great performers ended strangely, as both competitors pinned each other at the same time. This lead to a best of 5 match for the NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship, after the title was held up! Will Kyle take the early lead, or will Ice proclaim his early dominance? All will come clear, November 16th, in Maple Ridge.
ECCW Supergirls Championship Match Veronika Vice (Champion) VS Nikki Matthews (Challenger)
For more than a year, Nikki Matthews, alongside her “Main Squeeze”, Sid Sylum have attacked and competed with Veronika Vice. Veronika has captured the ECCW Supergirls Title from Nikki, as well as having mixed tag matches, handicap matches, even an intergender match where Veronika Vice pinned Sid Sylum in drag! Now, Veronika and Nikki are wrestling one more time, to see who truly is the best woman wrestler in Canada!
Friends Collide! El Phantasmo VS The Amazing Halo (Special Referee = Mikey Dasheezits)
For months, El Phantasmo and Halo have fought side by side, through TLC matches, going through the top tag teams in ECCW, and capturing tag team gold as “The Masked Dudes of Doom”. Yet, all good things must come to an end. During a match between The Masked Dudes of Doom and the Bollywood Lions, or Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra, El Phantasmo hit his partner Halo with a dropkick, costing the Dudes the match. Halo was angry, however, he chose to forgive El Phantasmo, and “Try again tommorow”, so to speak.
However, the seeds of hate were already planted. The next show, Halo fought Ice, and Halo would have had the victory, but Ice’s manager, Brian Sommers distracted the referee. El Phantasmo tried to warn the referee of the pinfall, but Halo looked over, and thought it was Phantasmo trying to distract the referee. Halo, after getting rolled up by Ice, and losing the match, took offense to Phantasmo’s “interference”, and a shoving match ensued between the two. A disagreement between former champions degenerated into a fight. The only question is, who will win? The goofy, yet supremely talented El Phantasmo, or the more serious Amazing Halo?
Models Incorporated VS. The Bollywood Lions
For several months now, The Bollywood Lions, Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra, have acted like they’re better than the fans, their opponents, everyone. Although they have had a recent victory over the Masked Dudes of Doom, their victory was not due to 100 percent wrestling ability. Now, Models Incorporated, or Memphis Raines and MR2 are aiming to not only climb up the ECCW Tag team ranks, but to knock the Bollywood Lions down a peg, so to speak. Will they be successful? Or will the Bollywood Lions reign supreme over the runway-dwelling duo?
Azeem “The Dream” VS. Disco Fury
Disco Fury is one of a few people wrestling that are making their return to Westview Secondary on November 16th, yet there is one man on the ECCW roster who has vowed to make Disco’s homecoming an unhappy one. That man, Azeem “The Dream.” Will Disco be able to use his 60’s powers to defeat Azeem? Or will the loathsome Azeem make any hope of a happy homecoming for Disco Fury vanish into thin air?
Rick “The Weapon” X VS. “Brilliant” Billy Suede
It’s the battle of the newcomers, as Rick “The Weapon” X wrestles Storm Academy graduate and consummate highflyer “Brilliant” Billy Suede in what is sure to be a fantastic match, one that just cannot be missed. No matter who wins this match, both of these men will work their bodies to hell and back to entertain the fans, as well as achieve victory over their opponents. Find out who wins, November 16th, at Westview Secondary School!
