Don't forget that Brock's an accomplished wrestler too. I think it will be an interesting fight, I'm looking forward to it. I hope Brock will win, but I can't say that I know he will. I haven't seen Mir fight for a while.

Does anyone know if Lesnar can even take a punch?
And the fact Mir can still win matches, and go the distance with a guy like Sobral, is a good indicator that he's not entirely a push over.

I expect an F5, daggone it! He can't do that! As Brock seems to mention in every interview, pro wrasslin is fake! I laugh everytime he says that and then ask myself if he thought it was fake when he landed on his head trying to do a moonsault. I hope he gets the crap kicked out of him.

It was a Shooting Star Press, a move many have hurt themselves on, including Hayabusa more than once, likely. He probably still thought the winner was predetermined.

I'm picking Lesnar to lose, right here, right now. Mir isn't that bad and even though Brock Lesnar's a big, agile SOB, he's still new to MMA.
Off subject, but has anyone heard anything come out of Tank Abbott/Kimbo Slice? I'd love to watch that.

All I can think of is the BTR guys going "Brock Lesnar is gonna do a shooting star press right of the Octagon!" in JR's voice when I keep thinking of this.

Brock Lesnar is going to make his UFC debut in February against former heavyweight champ Frank Mir. I personally can't wait to see Brock take this guy apart. Frank is coming off a victory but I hate to pull out the 'ole cliche and say that Brock might be the next big thing in MMA. www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&gid=8534Mir is the Next Big thing in MMA at the moment. I don't see how an untested/un-seasoned fighter like Brock would fair against a healthy mir. Eheh. Brock's got strength and hype on his side. Yeah, I mean what use is a NCAA Heavyweight Wrestling title going to be if you have hype on your side

Frank Mir before the motorcycle accident would've kicked the crap out of brock, now....frank is a shell of himself. I agree, but I'm hoping this comes as a wake-up call for Mir. Dude has to realize that he's the nominated Tomato Can for Brock's first fight, so hopefully he can muster up some of that old magic and at the very least make it an entertaining fight, or even better, upset Lesnar.

Mir has some awesome submissions. He could easily pull something out at any moment. I think it will be a good fight
