Brock Lesnar is going to make his UFC debut in February against former heavyweight champ Frank Mir. I personally can't wait to see Brock take this guy apart. Frank is coming off a victory but I hate to pull out the 'ole cliche and say that Brock might be the next big thing in MMA. www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&gid=8534

Frank Mir before the motorcycle accident would've kicked the shit out of brock, now....frank is a shell of himself.

I'm actually kind of excited to see Lesnar perform in this environment. I think he has a more than reasonable chance of success.

Mir hasn't been the same in a while, I don't think Brock will have much of a problem, though you never know

It would be seriously huge for professional wrestling if "one of their guys" goes in and wreaks havoc and I'd love to see it.

I knew they would give him an "easy" fight for his first fight. I'm still on the fence with this whole thing. It could be a total disaster for Brock, but it could be great. I had hoped his first fight would help me decide, but it didn't. I'm not sure this one will either. He needs to fight someone who can be a challenge, not just be fed past it or never really had it guys in order to be taken seriously.

I think Mir will win. He's got experience, and is still a decent fighter. Plus, I think he doesn't want to be the guy to lose to a 'rassler. It's a big fight for him. I'm sure Dana will reward him nicely if he wins.

I don't see how an untested/un-seasoned fighter like Brock would fair against a healthy mir. Eheh. Brock's got strength and hype on his side.
