so I take this course at college here in Perth, called "Documentary in film and TV", and one of the assingments was to write a documentary proposal about a subject of your choice. I chose to write a proposal about WCW, with the emphasis it's rise to fame and unfortunate demise. It would also be strongly influenced by RD and Bryan's book, "Death of WCW".
So I write to easy-E himself, mr. Eric Bischoff, where I ask him if would hypothetically participate in my documentary, if it was for real. The answer came back today. Very short answer, in fact it was only one word: "Yes"
That's pretty freaking sweet. First of all I never thought I'd actually get an answer, let alone that the answer would be "yes" to a film student in Australia.
Just wanted to share that story with you guys. Now I kinda wish that I could make that documentary....

Easy E is an awesome guy. A lot more humble and down to earth than people give him credit for.

I like Easy E, the only guy in history to ever have Vince on the ropes.

Dude, that's awesome. Eric Bischoff is one of two people I'd just love to sit down and have a conversation with. The other one is Paul Heyman. Good luck with your documentary.

I think he would want a fair shake to tell how he really feels about things, I think he also willing to give back because at one time he was a nobody working the AWA offices, who knew how important of a guy he would become.

Eric Bischoff is one of those guys I'd really love to meet and chat with.

Eric Bischoff is one of those guys I'd really love to meet and chat with. Yeah me too, Bischoff comes across as fiercely intelligent but I also imagined he'd be far nicer in person than most people assume. Dude your documentary sounds cool. I work in TV development and the only wrestling-related idea my bosses have ever even thought was worth listening to was the story of WCW. I really feel it's a story that would transcend just the wrestling fans. It's just a shame that one off documentaries- at least here in the UK- are a dying breed.

Perhaps RD can get you in touch with Vince Russo.
Hell, may you can get RD and Alvarez to help you out.

I actually did e-mail them about it, and they said that that would indeed have helped me out, if it was for real, and not just hypothetical. It would have been awesome to get to make that docu, but funding would probably be a bit hard to get...

As a diehard WCW fan from 92-2001, I loved Bisch. He was funny, he had balls, and he was even a damn good heel. I wanna see Bisch start something new someday and finally take Vinny Mac down.

I heard something once that seems a bit true: The guys that care a lot about the fans always return the signs to them after they highlight them to the camera. Easy E always did that.
