What's this about "Scrap Iron" Adam Pierce? Fixed Yes, Pearce is also greatness. Austin Aries is also at about that level. However, there can be only one Hero!

www.rfvideo.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2513On one weekend in October, 2001 the face of indie wrestling was changed forever as the foundations for the future of the American wrestling scene, and the next generation of stars, were created. Out in Vallejo, California, the All Pro Wrestling promoton presented its fully loaded 2001 King of Indies tournament. Fully Loaded might sound like a cliché, but it's the only way to explain the massive amount of talent for this two day single elimination tournament. American Dragon Samoa Joe Low Ki Bison Smith Tony Jones AJ Styles Spanky Donovan Morgan Doug Williams Adam Pierce Scoot Andrews Frankie Kazarian Super Dragon Jardi Frantz Vincenzo Massaro Christopher Daniels These sixteen men put on a show that rivals the Super J Cup tournaments in Japan. Several of the wrestlers, including Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles and Spanky, would go on to become major worldwide wrestling stars while others continue to shine on the independent scene and overseas. This tournament inspired RF VIDEO to create a wrestling promotion which would feature all the qualities that the wrestlers in the King of Indies displayed: Intensity, Brutality, and Honor. Now, in this two disc DVD set from RF VIDEO you can watch the tournament, which completely changed indie wrestling, in your own home! Here are the match-ups you are gong to see. KOI Round One Doug Williams vs. Adam Pearce Bison Smith vs. Tony Jones Donovan Morgan vs. Scoot Andrews Frankie Kazarian vs. Samoa Joe American Dragon vs. Spanky Christopher Daniels vs. Super Dragon Jardi Frantz vs. AJ Styles Vincenzo Massaro vs. Low-Ki KOI Round Two Donovan Morgan vs. Bison Smith American Dragon vs. Doug Williams Lo-Ki vs. Samoa Joe Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles KOI Semi-Finals American Dragon vs. Donovan Morgan Low-Ki vs. Christopher Daniels KOI Finals American Dragon vs. Low-Ki If you are a fan of quality indie wrestling, this DVD set MUST be in your collection. Where else are you going to find an all-star line-up like that? you've read the stories from Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez about the King of Indies, now watch for yourself!

King of the Indies 01 was a great tournament, and as said in the Towel Boy induction - it really helped to create ROH.
