With all due respect and I mean that, I always kind of thought that Owen got off too easily for his clumsy piledriver that started Austin's neck problems that likely took 4-5 years off the guy's career. I mean, if we're going to come on and berate people for botching then I think when you talk about the most careless moves of all time that piledriver is right up there. There I said my peace.

Good point. But no one really gets mad at D Lo for f***ing up Droz. Or for Chris Benoit for breaking Sabu's neck. Shit just happens.

Good point. But no one really gets mad at D Lo for smurfing up Droz. Or for Chris Benoit for breaking Sabu's neck. crap just happens. True about DLo but there are plenty of other reasons to be pissed at Benoit.

SPEAKing of Benoit ... they actually incorporated that Sabu incident into his nickname; as far as I know, he wasn't "The Crippler" until that happened.

From what I have seen, that would have to be Sabu's fault for not falling right. Benoit's reputation doesen't have to do with his own botches, while Sabu on the other hand . . .

Well, Austin himself botched a piledriver and injured Chono in Japan back in 92. Accidents happen.

Owen is massively at fault. Austin asked him not to do the piledriver that way and he did so anyway. That is both the first and last piledriver I have seen in the WWF that featured a tombstone with the performer of the move going on his butt instead of on his knees. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBj9JOc7K3M

Owen shouldn't of adopted a version of the piledriver you should only be 300+ to do(Like Bam Bam), but I wouldn't fault him too much. Steve could of done a better job holding on, and at that rate shouldn't of kept working injured like he did.
