Counter-counterpoint to 5: Roode went from delivering stilted backstage promos making vauge threats about Ms. Brooks and her mom who needs help or whatever the smurf and occasionally beating Eric Young as recent as a MONTH AGO to suddenly being in Joe's league.
Bullcrap. Bullcrap, I say.
Also, in regards to the shoot moments.
1 (which was the kinda shoot one): Christian saying "who has Matt Morgan ever beat". It's not really a shoot since Morgan hasn't really wrestled in TNA.
2. I think Scott Hall said something to Karen but can't remember it.
3. Scott referenceing the Kliq. Yes, that counts.
I said it wasn't a big deal because it was all small comments, but TNA has a bad habit of doing that.
Oh, and I know Scott Steiner has to give Steiner promos, but come on, that was a heel promo of epic proportions and it only furthers the confusion.

Counter-Counterpoint Counterpoint: Roode also fought and beat Jeff Jarrett, and had a win over Kaz, who is currently facing Cage for the Number 1 contendership. Plus, the Eric Young thing wasn't a month ago, It was 3. Roode isn't in Joe's league, as evidence by his cowardice early on, but it's not exactly out of the realm of possibility. And I damn sure know it's not a damn burial, especially since Roode cost Joe the slot Cage is currently in. That keeps the whole idea of Joe being in the upper echelon, especially after Roode singled him out as a guy on the top, if we wanna go by Lance Storm's frigging rule on promos. I don't think it was a heel promo as much as a response to AJ's own heel promo earlier, basically making fun of Scott's amateur background with the vocational stuff. Course, if you piss off Scott, then you got that. And I think Scott called Karen a rat.

Ok, so if AJ and Tomko are heels, then what were Ron Killings and Pacman Jones? I'm just wondering who in their match at BFG played the face. The company booked it as a heel/heel match. The fans HATED Pacman so they made AJ and Tomko the faces. The Phenomenal Solvers didn't really do anything differently than in any other matches. I actually think that's the dumbest thing about pro wrestling is that there aren't enough face vs. face matches and heel vs. heel matches. If everyone wants to be the top guy, then anyone should fight anyone.

The thing is with Steiner, it's doesn't matter if he's Heel or Face, he'll still give the same crazy ass promo.

I think face/face, and heel/heel matches can be good when there's a strong backstory. That's what really confused me about this angle, both appeared to be heels but didn't have a real feud between each other. Oh well, the better team won in the end.

i would like to take a stab at some counterpointing Granted some people have biased opinions of TNA and didn't watch the show apparently. However I did watch the show so I'd like to give my unbiased opinion. The wrestling was indeed great. However there are some still glaring problems. 1. PhenomeNO vs. Steiners - Who the hell's the face? Certainly not AJ, he's still helping out Christian. And certainly not Scott, at least not from his promos. Granted I can't complain too much about that, but still. a.j. and tomko in my opinion, are tweeners with heelish tendencies. for a clear cut explanation in this feud they are the heels. scott steiner's promo wasn't heelish, but only because it is scott steiner. how many steiner promos have you seen where he doesn't act that way? that is they way of the steiner and he has usually been that way face or heel. i thought a shoot broke kayfabe. this comment does not break kayfabe all it acknowledges is that morgan was elsewhere before tna. the only way this would be breaking kayfabe would be is if it was the wwe where admitting there are other wrestling companies goes against their kayfabe practically. not sure what you mean on that one. that again though stays with kayfabe. if you know who the kliq is then you realize that their members were big players in dx and nwo the two most famous stables for their time period. that doesn't exactly break kayfabe. i will have to check it out but i didn't notice at the time. oh well everyone messes up a move at some point. we can't all agree onbackstage segments. false. roode is being brought up the card, joe is not being demoted. if anything roode is just their to job to joe. joe lost momentum after his feud with angle so they immediately made him the man to make christian cage tap out. my feeling is they were doing so to help him keep some momentum until they want him to challenge for the belt again. this whole thing with roode in my mind serves two purposes. move roode down the card and give him a push, and to start building up joe again. here is a question. where are the complaints that christian is a midcarder? let's look at the facts, he is in a mini feud with kaz. sure christian is fighting for the number one contendership, but he is fighting someone WAY lower on the totem pole than robert roode. joe would be fighting for the contendership but was punked out by roode so he is going to get full revenge on the guy. i love this character for a.j. and don't think it makes him look bad. to me it is less "oh aj is stupid for looking up to christian he is way better!" and more "christian constantly tries to say he is still champion and always talks about how great he is, and has now convinced someone more accomplished than he is that he is better". it is a funny gimmick. people seem to think tna is trying to convince people that christian is better a.j. i don't think they are. i think it is part of the storyline, where christian thinks he is better than a.j., and a.j. trusts christian. i don't think they are actually trying to say one is better than the other, they are just trying to take someone who is know for making ridiculous claims about his greatness and team him with someone who believes it. i prefer a.j. on the mic now to back when he was the top dog in the company.

About the AJ complaints, like how he used to be a main-eventer in TNA and now he's a comedy heel lackey: During TNA's first 3 years, other than Jeff Jarrett's over-bearing presence, you could also make a claim that Styles was over-booked and over-pushed. Granted, he's a damn good wrestler, but TNA seemed to book him in a way as if they thought "Hell, AJ is so awesome and we have him, not WWE! Haha! Let's just push him to the moon since he's so awesome!". Personally, I thought AJ was booked badly in his early TNA run, it would have been better in retrospect if he was there for a couple years and then jumped to WWE, except AJ is likely a "lifer" in TNA. His push should have had a slow-build of awesomeness much like Samoa Joe's year+ push after he first came to TNA. Basically in a nut shell, AJ can't always be in the main-event week-in-week-out, and he's fantastic in his current comedy heel lackey role (AJ Styles cutting great and/or funny promos!? This was blasphemy a few years ago!). I love it when bona fide excellent wrestlers can drop from the main-event and do wonders with whatever gimmick they're handling during their temporary mid-card run. AJ will be back in the main-event someday (likely to feud with Christian), but until that happens just try and accept his current role so you can enjoy all the awesome stuff he's been doing lately like the rest of us have.

I have def. started watching more or less every week since they switched from 1 hour to 2 for the very reason that there is actual solid wrestling now week in and week out.
